One of the most luxurious hotels in Europe, the iconic, intimate Hotel D'Angleterre has an exquisite full-service spa, indoor pool and sauna, Michelin-rated restaurant, and glamorous Champagne bar. Its 90 rooms (most of which are suites) are all impeccably decorated with classic lamps, antique mirrors, rich curtains and fabrics, oil paintings, and designer furniture. Room features include Bang & Olufsen flat-screen TVs, game-connective media hubs, slippers, free Wi-Fi, safes, minibars with high-end wines and liquors, and Nespresso machines. The hotel's fine-dining, Michelin-rated Marchal restaurant serves a locally sourced menu of modern Danish cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Balthazar Champagne bar -- the first Champagne bar in Denmark, according to the hotel -- serves an extensive selection of wine and bubbles. 

A lovely boutique hotel inside Tivoli Gardens, the Nimb has 17 rooms, including 12 suites, and personalized butler and shopper service. Most of the luxe rooms have fireplaces, views of Tivoli, and elegant bathrooms with beautiful fixtures and freestanding baths (in all rooms except one). Nimb Brasserie serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while Nimb Bar serves brunch and afternoon tea during the day and stiff drinks and cocktails at night. Nimb Terrase restaurant focuses on seasonal cuisine (including a lot of seafood), and the Vinotek wine bar and restaurant has an on-staff sommelier. 

Housed in a beautiful historic building within easy walking distance of most of the city's major sights, this modern boutique hotel has 155 bright and spacious contemporary rooms. (There have been guest complaints about the thin walls in older rooms, and some of the lower-category rooms lack air-conditioning.) The hotel's standout feature is the decadent Thai spa, where colorful silk pillows, Thai statuettes, and fresh bamboo arrangements set the scene. Other features include three restaurants, bicycles to rent, and a top-floor art gallery. A daily happy hour is held in the fireplace-warmed lobby.

Steeped in history and known for hosting famous guests, the hotel offers sophisticated, romantic decor that unites antique style with modern simplicity. With a cozy restaurant and bar, free Wi-Fi and breakfast buffet, and other extras, the Scandic Palace offers a full suite of amenities. Rooms are simple but chic, though some guests complain that the beds are uncomfortable and that hotel’s central location makes front-facing rooms prone to noise.
