The Ovolo Noho is housed inside a tall, thin skyscraper squeezed in-between other tall buildings on a commercial Hong Kong street. The ground floor looks like a shopfront, with big windows and a black marble facade. Once inside, visitors arrive in the chic contemporary-style lobby done up in shades of silver, gray, black, and white, which doubles as the breakfast and bar space, where the nightly Happy Hour is hosted. Several tan leather sofas and stools provide comfortable seating, and the stylish bar stools and hanging lamps create a chic ambiance. Hallways are lined with dramatic walls of black marble. This property attracts mostly tourists, especially couples, but many business travelers stay here too.

Ovolo Noho is in Hong Kong's busy Central District, and conveniently situated just a few minutes' walk from Sheung Wan MTR subway station. Other popular neighborhoods known for their many restaurants, nightspots, and shopping options, such as Soho and Lan Kwai Fong, are also within walking distance.

Like many hotel rooms in Hong Kong, the 60 rooms at Ovolo Noho are small, measuring only 150 to 190 square feet. There are only two types of guest rooms available, both with the exact same layout, made up of two twin beds, or one double. An unusual feature is the low beds, which are actually large mattresses resting on raised-wooden platforms. The floor-to-ceiling windows let in lots of sunlight, which is reflected in the large round mirror behind the beds. Decor is simple and modern with textured accent walls, mosaic floors, and white-and-black furniture. The bathrooms are also compact, and come with rectangular vessel sinks, and spacious walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads, magnifying mirrors, and hairdryers. All rooms are tech-savvy, with flat-screen TVs, Apple TV, DVD players, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Minibars offer free water, juice, and beer, which are replenished daily. Guests are also offered a goodie bag of snacks and candy on arrival, and a free tote bag. Other handy extras include electric kettles, electronic safes, slippers, and AC adapters.

Though it lacks certain amenities expected of an upscale property -- such as a full restaurant -- Ovolo Noho does offer some stylish dining options and a few other extra features. A free breakfast is served each morning in the lounge area of the lobby and includes hot and cold European and American-style breakfast items, such as croissants, muffins, toast, cereal, eggs, baked beans, and bacon. A packed breakfast is also available on request for guests with an early departure. The 24-hour lounge also hosts the nightly happy hour, where beer, wine, and spirits are served along with light snacks. O Cafe, located on the second floor, serves drinks and snacks throughout the day and has a balcony overlooking the street. The on-site gym is open 24 hours, and is equipped with treadmills, an elliptical machine, stationary bicycle, and yoga mats. Other freebies include use of the self-service laundry facilities, and free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
