This hotel has two pool areas, one with DJ sessions and another quieter pool complete with a kids' section and a playground. There is also a chic Mediterranean restaurant, a sun-filled gym, and a spa with a hydrotherapy area that's free for all guests.

This 298-room upscale beachfront property has a hip, mellow style, with poolside DJ sessions that are more relaxing than wild. The property, located on Ibiza's largest beach, is visually arresting, and rooms are among the most stylish in the area. Be aware that planes can sometimes be heard landing at the nearby airport.

Located in a quiet area adjacent to famous Nikki Beach club, the 205-room ME Ibiza is one of the chicest properties in this part of the island. Minimalist all-white decor and soft lounge music lend this luxury property a relaxing, cool vibe, while top-notch services such as a private boat for day trips, rooftop massages, adult-only areas, and free yoga classes draw well-heeled couples and groups of friends. Rooms are hip and modern, with flat-screen TVs, mood lighting, minibars and iPod docks, but not all units have balconies and some may find the glass-enclosed showers lacking in privacy. It's also worth comparing rates with the nearby and just as luxurious Aguas de Ibiza, which has a more central location just off of Santa Eulalia’s main promenade.

Though many rooms are on the small side, decor is stylish, and amenities are up to date, including flat-screen TVs, minibars, free Wi-Fi, and air-conditioning; some have balconies with gorgeous views. All this style and cool atmosphere doesn’t come cheap, but the vast majority of guests agree that the experience is worth every dollar.

Next to a couple of beaches and a short walk to famous nightlife spots such as Cafe del Mar and Mambos, the budget-friendly Poniente Playa is strategically situated for those looking to experience Ibiza’s world-renowned party scene and beaches on the cheap. The hotel’s 56 one- and two-bedroom apartments are all clean and spacious, with fully equipped kitchens, sofa beds, and furnished balconies. There aren’t many on-site amenities, but the hotel does have a decent bar serving cheap, filling food, and a medium-sized pool across the street. It’s a young party hotel and it can get loud, but with ultra-low rates and freebies such as Wi-Fi and parking, it offers great value for money.

Located on a sandy beach in party-oriented Playa d’en Bosa, the budget (by Ibiza standards) Apartamentos Sal Rossa draws lots of vacationing young couples and groups. Within walking distance of the Ushuaia, Bora Bora, and Space nightclubs, the area can get rowdy during peak season, although it quiets down at other times of the year. Its 77 apartment-style rooms are clean, basic but pleasant, with separate bedrooms, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and kitchenettes that include stovetops, mini-fridges, and microwaves. Although most units have been upgraded, guests have complained about dated decor and thin walls in some of the units. There are such kid-friendly amenities as a children's pool and playground on the grounds, but Sal Rossa might not be the most family-focused place to stay in high season.

Located a short walk from Sant Antoni’s famous nightlife, the 100-room Florencio Hostal is a value pick for young couples and groups of friends. Premium Rooms have been renovated and offer contemporary decor, flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges. Non-renovated rooms, however, are basic and dated. The pool, a relaxing spot with music, padded loungers, and a bar, is the highlight here. In addition, there is a cafe serving average food at decent prices, and Wi-Fi is free. The property is popular with young partiers and can therefore get loud at night.

The 245-room Sirenis Hotel Club Tres Carabelas & Spa is a popular all-inclusive right on the beach. Rooms in this upper-middle-range property are spacious and bright with balconies, and include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and air-conditioning, but except for the renovated Superior Rooms and Superior Junior Suites,decor is plain and dated (renovations are planned for all rooms). The property includes an outdoor pool with whirlpool and snack bar, a kids' pool, a fitness center with cardio- and weight-training equipment, a good buffet-style restaurant, and daily entertainment. But the highlight here is the spa, which includes a large, glassed-roof indoor lap pool, massage cabins, whirlpools, and salon services. The hotel is a popular pick for bachelor and bachelorette parties, which can mean noise at times.

The 46-room Ibiza Sun Apartments is a small, upper-middle-range hotel with a great location a little set back from the main strip but within walking distance of famous clubs and the beach. Apartments here are clean and spacious with fully stocked kitchenettes, minimal and stylish decor, and solid amenities such as flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi (though service can sometimes be inconsistent), and air-conditioning. The hip pool deck -- complete with two small pools, a whirlpool, and comfy double loungers -- is the highlight here, but the hotel also features a small, bright fitness center, a popular Thai restaurant, and meeting rooms. Although the vibe is relaxing and quiet during the day, in the evenings there’s more of a party atmosphere, with house music playing around the pool.
