In the heart of Delhi's Diplomatic Enclave, a short drive from the U.S. Embassy, the ITC Maurya is a sprawling luxury business hotel with multiple wings. Some of the 438 rooms are allergen-friendly and come with air filters, and there's an entire floor of rooms just for women. All rooms have contemporary, elegant decor and beautiful marble bathrooms. The hotel is primarily aimed at business guests, with 11 meeting spaces, a high-end gym, and a large pool, but there are also services for families, such as rollaway beds, cribs, and babysitting. The hotel also has a number of excellent restaurants and is home to Bukhara, which serves rich subcontinental cuisine and has hosted many a celebrity and statesman. Travelers may want to compare rates at the Taj Palace, another luxury property right next door. 

The Taj Palace Hotel is a beautiful 444-room luxury property located in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi's Diplomatic Enclave. Rooms and suites are elegant, with beautiful linens and artwork, and deluxe marble bathrooms with separate walk-in showers and soaking tubs. The Taj is also home to a few of Delhi's finest restaurants, including a chic Vietnamese spot and an Old-World European restaurant -- Orient Express -- designed to resemble the interior of a classic train car. There are also a huge pool, a high-end spa, and a 24-hour fitness center with modern equipment, plus meeting and event space for up to 1,000 people. Many guests prefer it to the similarly priced ITC Maurya right next door, and features here are more impressive overall -- though ITC has more impressive dining (Bukhara is world renowned). 

With a prime location in Central Delhi near both Connaught Place and India Gate, Shangri-La's Eros Hotel is a luxury option offering easy access to central attractions and metro stations. The 320 rooms and suites are elegant but not stuffy, with dark-wood floors and furnishings, and subtle gold-hued decor. Features include three restaurants offering Italian, Chinese, Indian, and Western fare, plus a tea lounge with Indian street food, a bar, and a sprawling outdoor pool surrounded by greenery. There's also a ballroom that can be split into four separate meeting rooms, but those looking for a hotel with more extensive meeting spaces may be better off trying the similarly priced Le Meridien just next door. 

Located in South Delhi's swanky New Friends Colony, The Suryaa is an upscale business hotel popular with Indian and international visitors alike. The 244 rooms here are generic and sometimes a bit dated, though they do have marble bathrooms and many come with access to the Club Lounge. Features include multiple restaurants with cuisine from around the world, plus a big outdoor swimming pool, a spa with a sauna and whirlpool, and a fitness center with modern cardio and weight equipment. The Suryaa's location is also a big draw, and it's convenient for business travelers with work obligations in nearby Noida. However, tourists wanting to rely on the metro to get around might be better off staying somewhere more central, such as the Taj Mahal Hotel near Khan Market.

The Fortune Park Boulevard is an upper-middle-range boutique business hotel located in an isolated area south of New Delhi that's still very much like a village despite being within city limits. It's far from attractions and businesses, but it does have on-site meeting and event spaces and it's near plenty of popular wedding venues, so those in town for a wedding might find it a reasonable choice. The 34 rooms are bright and contemporary, with lots of splashes of color in the decor and modern marble bathrooms. There's also a restaurant with buffet and a la carte options for all three meals, and breakfast is included in room rates. Travelers wanting to be closer to town may want to consider the more centrally located Vivanta by Taj - Ambassador instead. 

This four-pearl, 265-room airport hotel is mostly geared toward travelers in transit. It's only a couple of minutes by free airport transfer service to the terminals at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Rooms are spacious and modern, equipped with ample amenities like air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, minibars (no alcohol), and electric kettles. Facilities include a big outdoor pool with sun loungers, modern fitness center, sauna, relaxing spa, and an extensive business center with flexible event spaces. There's an all-day buffet restaurant serving international cuisine, as well as an Italian restaurant, lounge bar, and deli. A breakfast buffet is available for guests, but this costs extra. Wi-Fi and parking are both free. Alternatively, travelers could also consider the similarly-priced Lemon Tree Premier Delhi Airport, which adds a free breakfast buffet. 

The Radisson Blu Hotel New Delhi Paschim Vihar is a four-pearl business hotel with a nice dash of modern style that's located in the West Delhi suburb of Paschim Vihar. The 178 rooms are done in sharp, contemporary colors and all have sleek bathrooms with walk-in rainfall showers. The amenities here are excellent, and include a rooftop lap pool, a spa and salon, multiple restaurants (one serving a free buffet breakfast), and a large fitness center with a good amount of cardio and weight-training equipment. Still, the location away from attractions in central Delhi -- at least a 30-minute drive -- might put off most tourists. Leisure travelers are better off staying somewhere in town, such as the centrally located Radisson Blu Marina Connaught Place, though rates will be higher. 

Wood Castle is a well-maintained budget hotel with 12 small rooms. It's located in Karol Bagh, in West Delhi, in an area popular with domestic travelers visiting family and friends. The location is less ideal for international visitors who want to be near tourist attractions, though the metro is only a five-minute walk away. Rooms are clean and in excellent shape -- many with quaint wooden details, as the hotel's name implies -- and all include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-FI. However, the wet room-style bathrooms are a little underwhelming. Breakfast is included in room rates, but there's no proper restaurant for other meals. Travelers looking for a budget stay with more amenities and a more central location might be better off staying at Hotel Hari Piorko instead. 

The Vivanta by Taj - Ambassador is a three-and-a-half-pearl hotel with 88 rooms located in Central Delhi, right next to the upscale shops and restaurants at Khan Market. Rooms are bright and mostly modern, with big bathrooms, though those facing the hotel's interior can get noisy when events are taking place and free Wi-Fi works poorly. The hotel's restaurants are popular with guests and locals alike; the 24-hour Yellow Brick Road is particularly well-liked and serves a huge breakfast buffet. While there is a small fitness center, there's no pool; the pool at the nearby Taj Mahal Hotel is free for Vivanta guests. Travelers looking for an on-site pool should compare rates at the much larger ITC Maurya, which has great restaurants and a similar style. 

Set in the West Delhi neighborhood of Rajendra Place, the Jaypee Siddharth is an upscale business hotel with 94 rooms and suites. It's right next to the Rajendra Place Metro station, making it a good option for those wanting to rely on public transportation to get around town, but tourists are still better off staying somewhere closer to the city center, such as the Park Hotel in Connaught Place. The rates are good and the rooms -- while a little generic -- are attractive enough, with traditional decor and marble bathrooms. However, the amenities are what really stand out here and include a lovely spa, a fitness center with cardio and weight-training equipment, a small pool, and lots of great restaurants -- one of which serves a massive menu around the clock. 

With an excellent location in Central Delhi, the upper-middle-range Hotel The Royal Plaza is a convenient place to stay for tourists and business travelers alike, but the interiors are dated. The 445 rooms and suites are small and not particularly well-maintained, and thin walls means that noise travels between units quickly. Features include multiple restaurants -- most notably a rooftop bar and lounge with great city views -- plus a modern fitness center, an outdoor lagoon pool, a spa with Ayurvedic treatments, and five conference rooms for rent. Those willing to sacrifice the great location here could find much more modern rooms for the price at Radisson Blu Hotel New Delhi Dwarka. 

The Hotel Shelton is a 35-room mid-range hotel with extremely competitive rates for its category. All rooms have air-conditioning and flat-screen TVs, but they lack coffee- and tea-making facilities (though thermoses are provided) and have basic wet-room-style bathrooms (albeit with rainfall showerheads). However, light sleepers should bring ear plugs as noise from the busy street below can be a problem. On-site features include a 24-hour rooftop restaurant with a pool table and room service, free Wi-Fi, and tour booking service through the front desk. Travelers may also want to consider the Hotel Hari Piorko just a few doors down, which offers similarly priced rooms, many with their own live aquariums. 

The Hotel Toronto is a 20-room budget hotel in New Delhi's Paharganj neighborhood, within a 15-minute walk of the New Delhi Railway Station and not too far from Paharganj's backpacker-friendly main bazaar. Rooms are basic, but well kept and clean, with modern furniture, flat-screen TVs, and basic wet-room style bathrooms with rainfall showerheads. It's worth noting that some lack windows. Amenities are basic overall, but there is free Wi-Fi and guests can phone the front desk from their rooms to order room service. Travelers wanting something a bit snazzier may want to consider the nearby Hotel Godwin Deluxe, which has a more polished vibe and more amenities, though it will be a bit pricier. 

Radisson hotels in India are a bit more upmarket than international travelers might expect from the brand, and the 90-room Radisson Blu Marina -- located in Connaught Circus -- is no exception. While this four-pearl business hotel's main draw is easily its convenient, central location, it also has a fair few amenities. These include a locally celebrated restaurant -- The Great Kabab Factory -- free hotel-wide Wi-Fi, a spa, and a small fitness center with cardio and weight-training equipment. The rooms aren't too shabby, either, with modern business decor and lovely marble bathrooms. However, there have been complaints about external and interior noise, and a lack of a swimming pool might put off some travelers. Those dead-set on swimming might want to compare rates at the Park New Delhi nearby, though rates are higher. 

The Piccadily Hotel New Delhi is a high-end business-focused hotel located in the West Delhi suburb of Janakpuri, relatively close to the airport but removed from most major sights. The 228 rooms are modern, if plain, and have lovely marble bathrooms, some with tubs. Features include lots of meeting space, a lovely spa, a modern fitness center, and a large outdoor pool, plus five bars and restaurants serving everything from Kashmiri cuisine to Italian fare. However, there have been a lot of maintenance complaints about this hotel, particularly in common areas. There are also fees for Wi-Fi. Travelers looking for something a bit closer to the city center may want to check out The Park New Delhi in Connaught Place instead, though rates are far higher.
