The grand Impiana Hotel attracts a large number of business travelers, as well as families and couples. The spacious lobby certainly impresses, with high ceilings, glossy marble floors, and a dramatic chandelier hanging over an abundant central floral arrangement. An adjacent lobby lounge has a warm, relaxed atmosphere, lined with soft velvety sofas and chairs, often frequented by business travelers gathering for casual meeting. Though the lobby is well-finished, some corridors in the main tower are a tad shabby and in need of an update. The Swasana Spa a real standout in terms of style, with distinct Asian vibes that include wooden slats, day beds, and warm orange lighting, it's an ideal spot to unwind after a busy day in the city. The rooftop pool area balances out the corporate atmosphere of much of the rest of the hotel, offering a laid-back atmosphere, though families often congregate here which can make it feel busy.

Conveniently located in the heart of the city center, this upscale property is surrounded by numerous shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, offices, and commercial buildings. The 100-acre KLCC area is a city within a city, and home to the famous Petronas Twin Towers, which are just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is also linked to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre via a skybridge, making it ideal for business travelers. The skybridge connects to the lively Bukit Bintang area as well, which is Kuala Lumpur's trendy shopping and entertainment district. The hotel is a five-minute walk to the city center park, a 10-minute walk to the Suria KLCC Mall, and a five-minute walk to the Pavillion shopping mall. The international airport is around a one-hour drive, depending on traffic. 

All rooms are spacious and stylishly decorated, decked out with wooden floors, white walls, crisp white bedding, handcrafted wooden furniture, and modern art pieces on the walls. A few pops of color in the mostly neutral palettes come in velvety jewel-tone accents in seating. Each room has large windows with blackout curtains and drapes, looking out to stunning city views. Modern technology includes large flat-screen TVs, DVD players, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, safes, and phones. Other amenities include coffee- and tea-making facilities, minibars, irons, ironing boards, pillow menus, free robes and slippers, and free bottled water. Dark marble-tiled bathrooms come with all the essentials, and while fixtures are contemporary, details like old shower curtains and some of the marble work look a little dated. All bathrooms include a decent amount of counter space and free toiletries, while Club Rooms add separate rainfall showers.

The Swasana spa offers traditional Asian treatments, including facials, body scrubs, and massages, plus a mud bath and spa tub. A beauty salon is located on the same floor, offering hair, nail, and waxing treatments. The fitness center is spacious, with up-to-date cardio machines, weight trainers, and free weights. There are several contemporary restaurants on-site, including the 24-hour Tonka Bean Cafe, which offers Malaysian and international dishes, al fresco dining, plus a daily buffet breakfast with hot and cold options -- though this is not included in all room rates. Cedar on 15 is a stylish, semi-alfresco restaurant, serving up tasty cocktails and creative cuisine. The Bohemia cigar bar is a nice extra for tobacco enthusiasts (though the smoke smell bother some guests in other public areas in the hotel), while the chic Oswego bar has an extensive wine and cocktail menu. There is also an exclusive Club Lounge for Club Room guests, plus several meeting rooms and a banquet hall.
