The boxy brick '60s style hotel facade of the Premier Inn London Kensington is made up of two dull buildings connected by an elevated enclosed walkway that runs over the road. The lobby looks identical to every other lobby found in the chain: lavender walls, off-white tile floors, purple automated kiosks for checking in, and a tiny purple reception desk with light wood details. The Thyme restaurant and bar continues the usual Premier Inn chain formula with floral wallpaper and vibrant zigzag patterned carpets. Families, business, and leisure travelers are the regular visitors here

Guests arriving via Heathrow airport will appreciate excellent transport links to the hotel via the Piccadilly line which runs directly to Earl's Court station, a three-minute walk from the hotel. A Barclays bike rack is located right outside the hotel doors for guests that want to cycle through London. Guests are an eight-minute drive from Stamford Bridge stadium, the home of the Chelsea Premier League football team, and an 18-minute walk from the Victoria and Albert Museum. 15-minutes in a taxi will take guests via Hyde Park to the world famous Buckingham palace, home of the queen. For local restaurants and nightlife, guests are a three-minute walk from Earl's Court road, which is lined with an abundance of food and beverage options. 

The uninspired room decor of the Premier Inn is a theme throughout the hotel chain, with purple carpeting, wood furniture, and off-white walls throughout. Rooms include basic amenities like free Wi-Fi, coffee- and tea- making facilities, hairdryers, adjustable air-conditioning, and Freeview TV. Bathrooms are spacious and modern with large well-lit mirrors, floor to ceiling white tiles, and shower/ tub combos in most bathrooms except for accessible rooms which have wet-rooms available for showering. Blackout curtains, quality Hypnosis mattresses, and a selection of pillow options are a nice touch. Note that the Quad Family Rooms are cramped for four people, with two twin beds placed directly next to the double bed. Quiet hotel zones are in place at night to create a snooze-friendly environment.

The hotel's Thyme restaurant and bar has a number of meal deals including happy hour in the early evening, free breakfast for kids under 16, and two and three course meal deal packages. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, but the connection can be spotty. Conference rooms are available and the reception desk is staffed 24 hours. Rental bikes are available just outside the hotel's main entrance.
