Housed in a 14-story neoclassical building, this hotel is well designed and beautifully decorated. The vibe is friendly and hip, attractive to all sorts of travelers, though especially so given its location at the southern end of hyper-trendy Malasana. The style is impeccable, with just the right amount of twee details. Historic features such as ornate molding are mixed with modern elements, like quirky art and retro-inspired furniture, to create a cool vibe overall. Views of the city from several vantages throughout the hotel are exceptional, especially from the rooftop pool and terrace, which is a sometimes too-popular hangout spot. The restaurant and lounge also provide spectacular views of the city. With this hotel's prime location and beautiful interiors, it draws all sorts of tourists, as well as businesspeople. 

This hotel has a prime location on the lively Gran Via next to the Plaza de Espana. The area is filled with restaurants, theaters, shops, nightlife, and major attractions, all within a one- to 10-minute walk. These include hipster-ready joints in trendy Malsana, the neighborhood directly east the hotel, as well as more touristy haunts along Gran Via. Major theaters are also nearby, and travelers can walk to Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor, and Puerta del Sol in less than 15 minutes. The Templo del Debod, a popular tourist sight with great views across the city to the west, is 10 minutes away on foot. Plaza de Espana Metro station is right next door, with connections to Madrid-Barajas Airport. Plan on a 40-minute trip to the airport by public transportation, or 25 minutes by car. 

Designed by Tarruella Trench Studio, rooms are handsome and contemporary, with just the right balance between classic and cutting-edge details. Expect to see herringbone hardwood floors, pendant lighting, and soft shades of white, taupe, and gray. Minimalist modern art hangs on walls, and flat-screen TVs are wall-mounted or on a pedestal. Open shelves hold safes, minibars, bottled water, kettles for tea and coffee, robes, slippers, and hangers for clothes. Higher-category rooms add espresso machines. There are no proper closets in any rooms. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Dramatic modern bathrooms are covered in black quartz and come with hairdryers, rainfall showers, and magnifying mirrors. Some rooms have showers only, some shower/tub combos, and some have separate tubs and showers. Balconies with chairs and beautiful views of Gran Via or Plaza de Espana are available in select units. Premium Rooms add sofas, and some suites have separate sitting areas.

This hotel has few features, but with its great location, guests don't seem to mind. The restaurant and lounge is called Nice to Meet You. It's located on the 14th floor and has spectacular views of the city, with tables inside and out on the terrace. The space is minimalist and modern, with wood paneled walls and floor-to-ceiling windows allowing in lots of natural light. Guests can start their day with a breakfast buffet of hot and cold selections, but it's not included with standard rates. DJs provide entertainment on some nights. Room service is available around the clock. A rooftop pool and terrace surrounded by glass provides breath-taking views of the city. The area is small, however, and can get crowded. A meeting room accommodates business and social gatherings. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.
