The 584-room New World Makati is a luxurious hotel located right in the heart of the shopping and business district. Large rooms feature 42-inch flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, minibars, laptop-sized safes, coffeemakers, and feather pillows. Common spaces are opulent, from the huge buffet restaurant to the rooftop pool. The property is starting to show signs of wear and tear in some areas, but for longer business stays, the Ascott is a convenient option within walking distance of shopping, dining, nightlife and corporate offices in central Makati.

The spectacular Manila Hotel is overlooks Manila Bay, in a quiet part of the Ermita neighborhood. Its location is convenient for tourists looking to see Manila’s top attractions, but business travelers may want to note that Makati is a half-hour drive away in normal driving conditions. The tradeoff, however, is world-class service and top-notch amenities, like a spa, fitness center, pool with swim-up bar, and four outstanding restaurants. The hotel's ten meeting rooms are as opulent as the rest of the Filipiniana-style interiors, plus the business center comes with secretarial services. Rooms are some of the most decadent in Manila and have flat-screen TVs, minibars, free Wi-Fi, iPod docks, and large marble bathrooms with separate showers and tubs. 

The Sofitel is a popular pick for business travelers attending conferences at neighboring Philippine International Convention Center. Rooms have outdated decor, but they are nonetheless large and upscale, with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and at least a small sitting area with a table and two chairs. Club Millesime guests are offered free access to Club Millesime Lounge, which features wine, cheese and champagne hours, breakfast buffet, and butler services. Just note that although the property is located within walking distance of major attractions such as Intramuros and Rizal Park, some find the neighborhood to be a little sketchy at night.
