The lobby is a cozy, inviting space in which to wait or linger, with rust-colored armchairs, tables and chairs, and large rust vases under warmly illuminated lighting. There's also a bar that draws guests in the mornings and evenings for Starbucks coffee and cocktails. Overall, the hotel is a suitable choice for both business travelers and leisure travelers, and the spacious rooms with sleeper sofas make it a good pick for families with kids. 

The hotel is located in the eastern part of Memphis, across the street from Saint Francis Hospital. There's lots of shopping in the area, including two malls that are within a 10-minute walk of the property, as well as several fast food and chain dining options. Downtown Memphis is about a 25-minute drive away, or around an hour via public transportation (there's a bus stop across the street from the hotel). Top area attractions include Graceland (20-minute drive or an hour-and-a-half via public transit), the Beale Street Historic District (25-minute drive or an hour by bus), the National Civil Rights Museum (25-minute drive, or an hour and 20 minutes via bus), and the Memphis Zoo (20-minute drive, or about an hour bus ride). The Memphis International Airport can be reached in about 15 minutes by car.

Wooden headboards with built-in nightstands frame beds topped with white linens. The rest of the color scheme is dominated by neutral gray hues. Rooms are spacious, featuring living areas with corner sleeper sofas as well as work desks. The rooms also have wet bars with mini-fridges and coffeemakers, while other standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, telephones, irons/ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms have external sinks in the bedroom areas with large sink vanities that provide plenty of storage space. A separate room houses the toilet and shower/tub combo or walk-in shower. Note that some past guests have complained of cleanliness issues and unreliable housekeeping service.
