Damianos Hotel was designed with the traditional Cycladic architecture found all over the island. Expect smooth whitewashed walls, low lying rooftops, and hard angles accented by cacti gardens. Shutters were once a bold blue, but have faded in the sun to a pleasant sky blue. Guests (a mixture of international couples and families) are greeted with a welcome drink in the pleasant lobby that includes white armchairs and a sofa placed near a large bar. Big windows overlook the sophisticated pool and sea in the distance. Outdoors, the grounds are carefully kept with whitewashed rock beds and stone archways. The snack bar area near the pool is set with white wicker furniture and a few nautical accents, plus it has an overhead wood awning for relief from the sun. 

Damianos Hotel is located in the quiet neighborhood of Drossopezoula, near the center of Mykonos. There's a cafe and a massage center nearby, but most guests rely on private cars or the bus system to get around the island for swimming, eating, drinking, and dancing. A bus station is just a few minutes walk away, and the bus goes directly to Paradise Beach in about 20 minutes. Ornos Beach is about a 10-minute drive and Platis Gialos is about 12 minutes in the car. For clubs, Little Venice is about eight minutes away by car and the famous Cavo Paradiso nightclub is about a 15-minute drive. Mykonos International Airport is a seven-minute drive or its about six minutes to the port. 

Each of the rooms at Damianos Hotel has a contemporary look with well-maintained furniture, but it looks a bit old fashioned. Room configurations come in Twin, Double, or Triple and all units are non-smoking. Budget Rooms sleep two people and have an earth tone color palette and views of the grounds and streets. Larger rooms upgrade to brighter color palettes and some partial sea views from furnished outdoor areas. Superior Rooms come with a sitting area and some Triple Rooms have a wet bar. Each room includes free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, telephone, mini-fridge, laptop-size safe, and air-conditioning. Some of the bathrooms have step-in showers, while others feature shower/tub combos. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided. 

Damianos Hotel has a few excellent features that add value, convenience, and space to relax on vacation. The highlight is the square-shaped outdoor pool with a nearby whirlpool and deck set with sun loungers. It's easy to see the ocean from here, and many guests spend long afternoons dipping in the water and ordering snacks and drinks from the adjacent pool bar. Free breakfast is included in room rates and the spread features items like crepes, yogurt, pastries, and juice. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. Guests also get free transportation to and from the airport and port. Parking is free for those who arrive via car. Small pets are allowed. Staff can arrange massages by the pool.
