Originally built in the 1920s, the intimate and upscale Brazilian Court Hotel is a boutique option with a healthy dose of elegant Spanish Colonial charm. What it lacks in the scale of amenities, it makes up for with the quality of what's on offer: an elegant French restaurant by Daniel Boulud, a Frederic Fekkai salon, and an intimate heated pool set among garden grounds with tinkling fountains. Plus, it’s two blocks from one of South Florida’s most beautiful beaches. All 80 rooms feel regal with free Wi-Fi, wet bars, full minibars, and jetted soaking tubs. Suites upgrade to spacious layouts with multiple bathrooms.

Seated in the residential section of Palm Beach, The Chesterfield Hotel takes a cue from the grand inns of Europe. The hotel has been registered as an historic landmark with the Palm Beach Preservation Foundation, and dates to 1926; much of the original character of the building has been preserved. None of its 52 rooms are the same, though commonalities between them include the presence of coffeemakers, bottled water, and bathrobes. Housekeeping visits twice a day and turndown with homemade treats is performed at night. The hotel has three on-site dining sites -- the Leopard Lounge, the Leopard Restaurant, and the Courtyard -- and 24-hour room service.

Nearly every aspect of Tideline Ocean Resort & Spa's aesthetic -- from the torii-style entrance to the clean-lined, Zen-inspired furniture throughout -- is a blend of modern Japanese and Balinese decor. Mood music and club-style lighting seeps into every space adding a subtle, club-like air. The minimalist vibe treads a fine line between chic and austere, however. Most of the 134 rooms offer private, furnished balconies, and standard amenities include minibars, 55-inch flat-screen TVs, and fast, free Wi-Fi. Between the swanky restaurant/bar, oceanfront dining terrace, beautiful stretch of beach, and stylish, South Beach-inspired pool terrace, the atmosphere hums from late morning to well after sundown. While children are allowed, the hotel is best suited for singles and couples.
