The Hotel des 3 Poussins is a mid-range hotel located in the 9th arrondissement, a five-minute walk from the Rue des Martyrs and the Grands Magasins of Opera. While slightly outside of the main tourist area, the hotel is close to a plethora of eateries and is a two-minute walk from the Saint-Georges metro stop. Decor is modern, creative, and delightful, with doodle murals and a chalkboard drawing wall. Forty rooms are fairly small, but they’re stylish and feature free Wi-Fi and coffee-and tea-making facilities. There are few on-site features, other than a breakfast buffet and room service for an added cost. Hotel Monterosa is a small 36-room hotel, with its larger sister property, Joyce Hotel, just across the street. The three-pearl Hotel Touraine Opera is a solid, if somewhat unexciting hotel in the 9th Arrondissement. Its main attraction is its location close to cafes and sights including Galeries Lafayette, Palais Garnier, and the Louvre. Property amenities here are limited to a crowd-pleasing hot breakfast buffet (for a fee) and 24-hour lobby honesty bar with snacks and drinks. Its 39 modern guest rooms are well-maintained and have a hint of style, all with AC, flat-screen TVs, lightly stocked minibars, electric kettles, and free Wi-Fi. There is a train station right outside the hotel's doors and taxis are readily available, but many sights are at least a 15-minute walk away. The immediate neighborhood is pleasant for strolls and is populated with restaurants and bars. Inside the hotel, there are a iron elevator that adds old Paris charm, a bright breakfast room, and an inviting bar. Rooms are pleasant (if a touch small) and have stocked minibars, coffeemakers, and attractive modern bathrooms. This is a quality value pick for Paris. 

Somewhere between “Sherlock Holmes” and “Austin Powers” lies the inspiration for this upper-middle-range hotel’s kitschy and colorful decor. The 103-room Best Western Premier Opéra Faubourg is a pet-friendly, non-smoking hotel less than two miles (about 15 minutes via Metro) from major Parisian attractions including the Louvre Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Moulin Rouge. The Opera neighborhood is alive with dining choices from around the globe and ample shopping. Guest rooms, while small, have expected comforts like free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and minibars. Travelers may also want to compare this with Hotel Eugene en Ville, a smaller property with steampunk-style decor and slightly higher rates.  

The two-pearl, 52-room Touring Hotel is in Paris’ 9th Arrondissement, a 15-minute walk from the Opera Garnier and Gare du Nord.
