The Nai Yang Beach Resort takes full advantage of its beautiful tropical surroundings with an open-air lobby that features trees growing through the dark wood-beamed ceiling. Rustic wooden picnic tables and benches fill the lobby. Sleek black and red sofas are placed in the reception area. Situated on the edge of the Nai Yang National Marine Park, the location is secluded and quiet, attracting budget-conscious couples or travelers on a short vacation, who prefer to be close to the airport. The beach, just a few feet from the hotel, offers a sandy shore near vendors and restaurants in huts, shaded by trees. The atmosphere is tropical and simple, if lacking a bit of polish.

Located on the edge of the Sirinat National Park, the Nai Yang Beach Resort, is encircled by tropical greenery. It’s a convenient two-minute walk to the beach, where there are vendors and restaurants in huts. Guests, though, complain about debris in the sand. The airport is a five-minute drive. Driving to Phuket town takes 31 minutes. Within 10 minutes or less on foot is a coffee shop, a sports bar, and seafood restaurants. Kite School Thailand /North Kiteboarding Club is a six-minute walk. It’s 11 minutes to the Kiteboarding Asia Phuket. The Nai Harn Beach is a 49-minute drive away. The Khao Khat viewpoint is a 21-minute car trip.

White floor tiles, sandy-colored curtains, and red furnishings give the simple rooms a bright feeling. Room types offered include Tropical Wing, Oriental Wing, Thai Deluxe, Thai Deluxe Premium, Thai Mini Suites, Turtle Pool Villas, and Thana Grand Pool Villas. Air-conditioning, safes, hot water dispensers, tube TVs, umbrellas, mini-fridges, and built-in daybeds are in most rooms. Terraces or balconies overlook the gardens or pools. Modern fixtures and showers are standard in bathrooms. Tiles, grout, and showerheads could use freshening up. Towels folded like shells and animals are a nice touch. Keys control the lights. Suites have sitting and vanity areas. Villas offer living rooms, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, and private pools. 

The two on-site restaurants at the hotel -- the Sands and La Romana -- incorporate the forest landscapes into the dining experience. The open-air Sands restaurant features modern dark wood furniture, a bar, buffet dinners, and live music. La Romana offers a terrace with garden views and an air-conditioned interior, where the breakfast buffet is served. The hotel also has two meeting rooms, respectively fitting 100 and 30 people. There’s a stage, projector screen, and modern audiovisual equipment. The poolside terrace can also be rented out. A computer corner is also in the lobby and offers a PC, with Internet, for guests.

Three outdoor pools -- the Coral, Starfish, and Turtle pools -- are surrounded by palms and provide a peaceful, private environment. The Turtle pool has a fountain, lounge chairs, a shallow section for kids and a rustic bar area, with tree stump stools. The Starfish pool has a grassy deck with lounge chairs and outdoor showers. The on-site spa provides facials, massages, and nail service, among other treatments.
