Para aqueles de vocês que ainda pensam que “tiki” é sinônimo de “brega” (leia-se: Trader Vic's ) e como um ícone do kitsch de anos passados, a E & O Trading Co. está se esforçando para refutar sua reivindicação. Localizado a poucos passos do Campton Place Taj Hotel e do Hotel Triton , este estabelecimento de São Francisco reinventou o prato pu-pu de baixa estatura em algo moderno, fresco e econômico.

O prato é suficiente para servir de quatro a seis pessoas famintas e conta com alguns dos pratos favoritos do restaurante, incluindo pãezinhos chineses de cinco temperos, sliders de costela, reforços de café Hoisin, satay de frango, bolinhos de milho indonésios e batatas fritas – tudo por apenas US $ 18. Você pode aproveitar esta nova atração no pu-pu durante o Happy Hour, de segunda a sábado, das 15h às 18h, até o final de janeiro.

Enquanto come esses petiscos, beba sua sede com o novo vinho customizado E & O San Francisco por US $ 24 a garrafa.

O chefe executivo da E & O, Arnold Wong, colaborou no vino com o gerente geral Jim Angelus e a equipe da fábrica de vinhos personalizados, Crushpad , para criar o vinho branco estilo Rhône. Uma mistura de 50% de Roussanne, 30% de Viognier, 15% de Marsanne e 5% de Chardonnay, os sabores de frutas tropicais do vinho e o toque de tempero combinam muito bem com a culinária pan-asiática de Wong.
