Located in a high-rise tower right by Sapporo Station, this upscale property is a chain hotel from the JR Hotel group. Interiors have a contemporary corporate feel, in an elegant and pleasant way. The lobby offers ample seating clustered here and there, with potted palms and other greenery adding a nice touch. The cream, caramel, and brown color scheme is livened up with with pops of red and art on the walls. The hotel's dining options (there are three restaurants and a lobby lounge) have the same kind of ambience, with two of them offering panoramic views over the city from their upper-floor perches. They feature a clean, contemporary aesthetic, with the views taking center stage. The French Restaurant, not as high up as the others, lacks the views but has a classic fine-dining feel thanks to crisp white tablecloths set against wood and navy hues.

Guests are a mix of business and leisure travelers. The central location and excellent train connection makes this a popular choice with those seeking convenience.

The hotel occupies a prime location in the center of Sapporo, with direct access to Sapporo Station. There are several other hotels in the area, as well as shops and dining options. The lovely Odori Park is a 12-minute walk away, as is Odori Station. Other popular attractions include the Sapporo Clock Tower (nine-minute walk), Sapporo TV Tower (12-minute walk), Sapporo Beer Museum (20-minute walk), and Ramen Alley (20-minute walk away).

Other attractions that are a bit further away include the Hokkaido Shrine (a 12-minute drive away or about a half-hour via public transit) and the Mt. Moiwa Ropeway (reached in about 15 minutes by car or 40 minutes via public transit). The Okadama Airport is around an 18-minute drive or 35 minutes by train. New Chitose Airport is about 50 minutes by car or 40 minutes by train.

Rooms feature a pleasant contemporary style with a brown and gray color scheme and pops of green here and there. Patterned carpeting is paired with patterned wallpaper accent walls and brown bed runners topping white bedding. Sleek black furniture includes padded headboards and work desks. The highlight  is the large windows, and since all rooms span the 23rd to 34th floors of the building, all of them have great views over the city. Besides offering lovely vistas, the wide windows also fill the spaces with natural light. All have some sort of window-side sitting area, with either armchairs flanking small tables or sofas. Standard amenities include large flat-screen TVs, electric kettles, minibars, electronic safes, and free Wi-Fi. Upper-category rooms have coffee capsule machines. Simple white-tiled bathrooms can seem small to some, but they're standard or even above average in size for Japanese hotels. Bathrooms are equipped with shower/tub combos and electronic toilets. Toiletries are provided, as are hairdryers and slippers.

Suites are spacious, with separate living rooms and office areas, plus added perks like wet bars. They're located on the 34th-floor, offering the best views. Marble bathrooms have tubs and separate walk-in showers.

The hotel's spa is the highlight. It's situated on the 22nd floor and features natural hot spring water that's piped up from beneath Sapporo Station. Entrance to the spa incurs a fee. There are separate men's and women's bathing areas. The women's part has three baths, including a natural hot spring bath, a massage bath, and a whirlpool. The men's area has two parts, a hot spring bath and a whirlpool. Both areas also have cold plunge baths, dry saunas, mist saunas, and showers. Massages and other body treatments cost extra. There's also a hair salon.

There are a couple of dining options to choose from here. The French restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and two "sky" restaurants on the 35th floor offer great views over the city. One restaurant serves buffet-style Western, Japanese, and Chinese fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as being home to a bar with live jazz in the evenings. The other restaurant is a Japanese option that's also open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's a lobby lounge that offers coffee, alcoholic drinks, and some snacks like sandwiches, pasta, and cakes. Breakfast can be included in rates for an additional fee (it's not included in the most basic rates), and guests have a choice of Western and Asian fare at the buffet as well as Japanese-style breakfast at the Japanese restaurant.

There are three meeting rooms available on the hotel's top floor. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
