While the Anyavee Tubkaek Beach Resort has a pleasantly upscale style, the resort itself is fairly simple. First impressions are nice, though, and guests enter this hotel through a purple arch with lotus ponds on each side. The lobby is open and bright, with purple sofas and chairs for seating. The long reception counter is backed by modern art with purple and blue waves. The soothing, modern color scheme is complemented by views of the sea from around the property. These are beautiful, especially at sunset, and the landscaping is lush and well-maintained. It's a quiet, relaxing place suitable for couples, families, and groups looking for a laid-back beach vacation. 

This hotel is located on Tubkaek Beach, with views over the Andaman Sea and the karst islands of Phang Nga Bay. There's not much immediately around the hotel, and it's about a 30-minute drive from Ao Nang. Krabi town is about a 35-minute drive, and the airport is 45 minutes away. Sightseeing and tours can be arranged on-site, but there's not much to do on the property. Many guests rent a car for exploring the area. 

Rooms and suites are spacious and modern, with Thai design elements that add just a bit of local style. Colors vary, but most feature tile floors, dark wood furniture, white bed coverings with decorative throws, white walls, and carved wooden wall hangings. There's a lot of space across all categories here, and even entry-level Superior Rooms start at 30 square meters (323 square feet). Amenities include flat-screen TVs, safes, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and free bottled water. Wi-FI is free, but can be spotty. Bathrooms are modern and attractive, with fancy rainfall showerheads, hairdryers, and toiletries. Robes and slippers are provided. All rooms have a furnished balcony or terrace with views of the garden or sea. Some have outdoor hot tubs or direct access to the pool. The largest villa here has five bedrooms and can accommodate up to 12 people, which can be ideal for large families or groups. The level of maintenance varies among rooms, so guests may want to take a preview before committing to a selection. 

There isn't too much to do at this hotel, and it doesn't quite live up to the "resort" claim in its name. The restaurant serves international and Thai fare for all meals, starting the day with a free breakfast buffet. The space is open and airy, with views of the sea. Live bands play each evening during the high season. One of the two pools overlooks the sea. Padded teak lounge chairs and umbrellas invite poolside relaxing, and a Thai-style tower reminds you where you are. The wide, sandy beach also is lovely, and guests can choose to be active with water sports or relax on lounge chairs. Massage treatments and foot cleansing are available in the spa, and a small fitness center offers a few cardio and weight training machines. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel and the tour desk can help arrange excursions.
