The Four Seasons is one of the most luxurious, beautiful resorts in Whistler. A popular choice among families (with large residence-like suites available), the hotel offers children's menus in all of the restaurants and room service, a welcome children's amenitiy (such as a stuffed animal), child-size robes, games and crafts for younger children, and babysitting services (for an extra fee). The resort also runs summer and winter children's programs (for an additional fee), with activities like bear watching and rock-climbing during the summer and skiing lessons and snow tubing during the winter. The pool may be the most popular spot among younger guests however, and it's open year-round.

The 419 rooms at the Westin were updated to accommodate the masses that descended upon Whistler for the 2010 Winter Olympics: They're all large and well suited for families or groups, with kitchenettes, pull-out sofas, and fireplaces. Although the pool is only open seasonally, kids will like nearby putting green and the summer family activities scheduled by the hotel, such as rock-climbing, and December - April, parents can drop the youngest of their crew off at the on-site child care program. The program moves off-site from June - September, but babysitting services are always available.

This 550-room Fairmont Chateau is perched amid Bavarian-styled buildings just outside of Whistler Village, with magnificent views and close proximity to ski lifts. The interior decor is typical of a Fairmont, but with a mountain-esque twist -- think crown molding meets exposed wooden beams and stone-tiled walls. Though the hotel does not have a kids' program, it is definitely kid-friendly. Tots love the indoor/outdoor pool and kid-friendly amenities include a DVD library.
