This budget, no-frills hotel lacks style and personality from the dated lobby with patterned couches to the small rooms with patterned bedspreads and outdated furniture. Many guests use this property as a launching point for exploring the area, including the lovely port town of Nerja. Nightly entertainment gives the property a lively atmosphere in the bar and restaurant.

Nerja Club is located outside the port town of Nerja along the Costa del Sol -- a 15-minute walk is required to reach the town's restaurants, shops, and bars. An inexpensive bus leads into town and to the port (some guests choose to walk from the hotel, but the return journey is on the steep side). This hotel is located near a supermarket, but the beach is approximately a 10-minute walk away. The fantastic Cuevas de Nerja, or caverns, are a 10-minute drive or a 45-minute walk.

Rooms at the Nerja Club are simple, clean, and lacking personality. All rooms have free Wi-Fi and satellite TV but beds are on the hard side and are covered with dated patterned bedspreads. Most of the larger rooms have beds pushed together instead of larger mattresses. Some rooms have small balconies with plastic furniture.

This value pick has a few nice features. There is an outdoor pool with plenty of lounge chairs for sunning, a nice indoor pool, and spa with whirlpool. The small fitness center consists mostly of weights. There is a buffet restaurant that draws mostly positive reviews for its good value. In the evenings, live entertainment takes over the bar.
