Vintage items picked up by the proprietors on their many travels adorn the common spaces throughout the three townhomes that constitute this modern yet homey property. An airy feeling and a natural calmness pervade the homestay, with tall stalks of bamboo, pale stones in various sizes, and traditional Thai statues leading into the lobby. Blue and white walls combine with white-tile floors, clean-lined wood and earth-tone furnishings, and soft lighting in the lobby, where high ceilings and an open layout lend a refreshingly modern aesthetic. Sitting areas abound, from the book-and-magazine-filled lobby to a multi-level outdoor area that lines the exterior of the buildings and offers built-in wood benches furnished with pillow seating. Guests, typically tourist couples and families, can also relax and take in views of the city up on the grassy rooftop terrace, where wooden daybeds are casually adorned with blue-and-white-striped pillows. 

While somewhat far from many of the palaces that are considered the city's main attractions, Loog Choob's location is near a number of local markets. For instance, Saphan Khao, an evening market considered a Bangkok hub for fresh fruit trading, sits a couple hundred feet from the hotel. Nang Loeng Market, full of mom-and-pop eateries and noodle shops, is about 10 minutes' walk from the property as well. The old city areas, including Grand Palace and Temple of Dawn, are accessible via hired car in about 10 to 15 minutes without traffic. Suvarnabhumi Airport is about 25 minutes by car.

The homey, airy rooms here are outfitted with frosted-glass walls, recessed lighting, low-lying wood furniture, and tasteful sculptural items like wicker baskets and carved stone lamps. There's a real atmosphere of calm, augmented by the plentiful views onto the private terraces through floor-to-ceiling windows covered in sheer white curtains and slatted wood shades. All rooms have air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, mini-fridges, hairdryers, and slippers. Bathrooms are large with dark tile, white-basin sinks, and rainfall showerheads in walk-in showers. The Family and Junior Suites have separate ceramic tubs, as well, and in the former, the tub is separated from a sleeping area by a heavy curtain. 

The sitting areas throughout the hotel are one of the property’s big draws; these include a rooftop sundeck carpeted in grassy sod and offering a sweeping view of the quiet residential neighborhood. Other spaces include bench-lined patios with a water fountain, and a lobby area with a plethora of books and magazines. Washing machines and a guest computer are available for use, and the free Wi-Fi connection throughout the property is strong. Each floor has its own living room with TV, and a mini-kitchen area stocked with free coffee, tea, and cereal. The owner also tends to leave out free pastries, baked goods, and fresh fruit in the morning. There are also family play areas with toys for kids.
