Although located in the bustling heart of Bangkok off Sukhumvit Road, the Royal President Bangkok feels like an oasis. Some of the guests are long-term (several rooms have kitchenettes, and some have washer/dryers), which keeps the ambience pretty low-key and chill, and facilities, such as the outdoor pool and the fitness center, do not get overcrowded -- despite being small. Other than at breakfast, the Royal Brasserie restaurant does not get too busy, as most guests choose to eat out on Sukhumvit Road. 

The Royal President Bangkok has a convenient -- but quiet and calm -- location, down a side street that's about a 10-minute walk to traffic-clogged Sukhumvit Road. While Sukhumvit is packed with restaurants, bars, shopping malls, and plenty of traffic, the Royal President, located on leafy Soi 15, escapes this chaotic bustle. It's within a 15-minute walk of Nana BTS Skytrain and Asok BTS Skytrain, and the hotel provides free tuk-tuk service to these stations, Sukhumvit Road, and the Terminal 21 Shopping Mall.

Accommodations include various levels of rooms and suites. Standard Rooms come with amenities such as minibars, flat-screen TVs with satellite channels, large safes, coffeemakers, free Wi-Fi, and separate tubs and showers. Starting at the Deluxe level, rooms come with kitchenettes with full-size refrigerators and microwaves. Junior, Deluxe, and Penthouse Suites have separate living areas and dining tables (the Penthouse Suite comes with two bedrooms), and Deluxe and Family Suites have washer/dryers.

The Royal President Bangkok has one restaurant, the Royal Brasserie, which is busiest at breakfast. There's an outdoor swimming pool with a whirlpool, surrounded by a small patio, a fitness center with cardio- and weight-training equipment, and a business center with a meeting room. There's also a self-service laundry room on-site, and free tuk-tuk service to Sukhumvit Road, the Skytrain stations, and Terminal 21 Shopping Mall. Free Wi-Fi is also available throughout.
