There isn't much to do at the Lanna Mantra other than relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. The most popular spot at the resort is the infinity pool, which has views of the river and a pleasant mix of shade and sun. Guests can also be found at the riverside Lanna Rimping restaurant, which has parasol-shaded tables right on the banks of the Ping. The resort is frequented by those looking for a quiet escape from the center of Chiang Mai, yet still want access to the city. It draws in a mix of couples and families as it has plenty of rooms suitable for those with little ones or larger numbers, but its priced a bit too high to see a lot of backpackers. 

The Lanna Mantra Resort is located along the Ping River, a 15- to 20-minute drive on the busy riverside road into the Old City. It's in a residential neighborhood with few restaurants, bars, and shops, although the famous Huan Suntaree restaurant owned by a renowned Thai singer is just up the road. The resort also runs a twice-daily free shuttle into town for those who don't have their own cars. 

The rooms at the Lanna Mantra Resort have pool, river, or garden views from their spacious terraces.  All come with king-size beds, kettles, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and mirrors hang on the walls. The Deluxe Rooms have walk-in showers and separate tubs and offer the best river views. Some Superior Rooms have safes and there's also a safe-deposit box at the front desk. Family Rooms that can sleep up to four guests are also available. 

The resort has a lovely infinity pool that sits right near the river and is surrounded by seats and lounge chairs. The hotel's riverside restaurant serves lunch and dinner on parasol-shaded tables that look out on the Ping River. A free breakfast is served daily in the garden and under a roof-covered area. The hotel also has a tiny fitness area with a few cardio machines, and there are bicycles available for guests to borrow. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.
