The Homewood Suites is a well-maintained and tastefully decorated property that exudes a casual and comfortable feel from the moment of arrival. Adjacent to the wooden front desk is a brown leather couch framed by comfy, rust-colored upholstered chairs, all with throw pillows. They encircle a wood coffee table and sit on an attractive patterned carpet. A two-sided gas fireplace framed by a wooden mantel and floor-to-ceiling stone wall separates the front desk lobby area from the dining area. High white ceilings and ample natural light from glass windows and doors leading to the outdoor courtyard create an airy atmosphere in the dining room, which has patterned carpet in earth tones and wood-and-tan-leather seats surrounding clusters of tables. The adjacent outdoor courtyard offers alfresco seating and gas grills for guest use, and the manicured lawn areas give the area an upscale feel. Guests are often long-stay business travelers and families seeking convenient access to the airport and home-like rooms. 

The Homewood Suites is part of a cluster of hotels and restaurants that cater to business and leisure travelers passing through Denver International Airport, which is 15 to 20 minutes away by car or shuttle, depending on traffic. Downtown Denver is approximately a 30- to 40-minute drive, and the Buckley Air Force Base is about 15 minutes away. Several restaurants are less than a five-minute walk from the hotel, with some directly across the four-lane street in front of the hotel. The relatively quiet area is known as the Gateway Business Park, and it includes some office parks and is well maintained with sidewalks on both sides of the tree-lined street.

The all-suite hotel offers several guest room options including studio, one-, and two-bedroom suites. All of them are spacious and nicely decorated with earth-tone patterned carpet, wood headboards framed by rust-colored back walls, wood nightstands, and matching wood dressers which hold flat-screen TVs. Each has a work desk with office chair, along with a separate living area with another flat-screen TV and DVD player, an upholstered couch, and an ample chair. The kitchenettes are fully equipped with full-size refrigerators, microwaves, two-burner stove tops, toasters, coffeemakers, dishes, cutlery, sinks, and dishwashers; two-seat dining tables are adjacent. Bathrooms have exterior wood-and-granite vanities, and inside have tan tile and shower/tub combos. King studio suites have stall showers with clear plastic doors. In-room Wi-Fi is free, but premium-speed Wi-Fi is a surcharge. Neutrogena toiletries, free newspaper delivered on weekdays, and 200-plus cable channels are provided.
