From the street, the whitewashed hotel appears unassuming, though the underside of balconies are painted blue, adding a nice pop of color. Inside, the lobby and reception area are crisp-white and immaculate. The minimalist design includes white-leather furnishings, beige floors, white walls, and white wooden tables. It may feel too stark to some, though purple and green floor planters and front desk with a swirled design in shades of blue balance it out. This area opens out to the pool deck, where the chic white design continues. This adult-only hotel attracts mostly couples and mature party-goers, who appreciate both the poolside DJ sets and the removed setting from the hubbub of San Antonio.

Walking distance to restaurants and bars? Check. Far enough from bustling nightlife to avoid incessant noise? Check. Marina Playa Hotel Apartments is located on the quieter side of San Antonio Bay. It's a bit removed from the Sunset Strip (10-minute drive, or 30-minute walk), but still within easy reach. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, plus Ocean Beach Ibiza is a five-minute walk away. Ibiza Airport is about 20 minutes away by car.

Much like the rest of the hotel, the well-sized rooms are airy, bright, and modern. The 60 apartment-style rooms are decked out in nearly all white -- the walls, seating, and wood furniture are all stark-white -- with pops of turquoise in throw blankets, pillows, and curtains. Murals behind the bed of huge waves add a beachy, stylish touch to the space. All have kitchenettes equipped with mini-fridges, microwaves, electric burners, and a variety of cookware and dishes. Dining tables with room for four people are standard. Air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi are also provided. 

Studio rooms have a white sofa at the foot of the bed offering extra sitting space, while one-bedroom units have separate, spacious living areas with two couches. All rooms have furnished balconies, some with sea views and others facing the street. Some guests have complained of noise reaching rooms.The bland off-white floor-to-ceiling tile in bathrooms doesn't reflect the look of the rooms, though there's a pop of light-blue in the shower curtain. Bathrooms have pedestal sinks, shower/tub combos, bidets, hairdryers, and free toiletries. 

Keeping with the theme, the hotel's pool deck offers the same crisp all-white aesthetic. The white pool bar, which provides drinks and food, matches the adjacent lounge area with tables, sofas, and chairs. This elevated lounge area offers impeccable water views and is next to where a DJ performs typically chill music during the day. It's located right above the hotel's on-site restaurant, Aperture Ibiza, which serves a variety of Mediterranean and international dishes. 

The pool itself is on the smaller side, but it's pleasant and surrounded by loungers and umbrellas. Cabana beds are available for a fee. There is direct beach access, and there are a few loungers for rent there. Wi-Fi is free, albeit a bit spotty, throughout the hotel.
