Catering to travelers wanting to hit the slopes, hike, snowmobile, see wildlife, or shop downtown, this Marriott hotel serves as a great gateway to the lively downtown area, nearby national parks, and ski resorts. Snow King, Wyoming’s first established ski hill, towers over the property, giving incentive for guest to step out. But inside, the vibe is contemporary and cozy, starting with the color palette, awash in creamy whites, charcoal grays, and lots of wood. The furniture is also comfortable with wingback chairs and sleek armless couches topped in navy blue and beige cushions, and the decor echoes the rustic location -- local art and antlers, a nod to the area's Wild West image. 

Live music fills the lobby and pool area in the summer, and during our winter visit, the hotel was hosting an Art of Local event, which lured locals and tourists for an evening filled with snacks, drinks, art, and tunes. After filling up on some liquid courage, guests channeled their inner artists and added some color to a large, unpainted canvas. Though the hotel draws a mix of friends, couples, and families, it primarily caters to outdoorsy types wanting to relax after an adventure-packed day. The property's heated outdoor pool and hot tub provide excellent spots to unwind.

Located a five-minute walk from Jackson Hole’s Town Square, this Marriott property has plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars nearby. Across the street, guests will stumble upon the Vertical Harvest, a three-story hydroponic greenhouse. Snake River Brewing, Wyoming’s oldest brewery, sits a two-minute walk away as well. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate that Grand Teton National Park is a mere 15-minute drive from the hotel and that the National Elk Refuge, which offers opportunities to spot elk, moose, bison, and bighorn sheep, is five minutes away by car. Yellowstone National Park lies a bit farther, about an hour’s drive from the hotel grounds. 

Teton Village, including the popular Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, is about 12 miles (or a 20-minute drive) away, though those looking to ski close by can head to Snow King, which is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. (Free shuttle service to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is offered.) Jackson Hole Airport is a 14-minute drive to the north.

Stylish for a Marriott chain property, guest rooms are done up in a chic color palette of soft grays, charcoal, tans, and whites. Wood-veneer headboards and patterned carpets anchor the rooms, and details like West Elm lamps, wooden trays, and desk chairs add another layer of polish. Black-and-white photography spotlighting the beautiful Wyoming scenery give a sense of place. For those who need to get down to business, well-lit work desks offer ample space to be productive. 

With separate living, working, and sleeping spaces, the layout of SpringHill’s clean and well-designed rooms caters to a diverse clientele, including families, business travelers, couples, and groups of friends. Accommodations are all suites, and guests have the option of selecting one king-size or two queen-size beds, all topped with plush pillows and soft linens -- perfect for tucking into after a full day of hitting the slopes. Both room categories also come with chalkboard-gray West Elm sofas, which also converts into trundle beds, a helpful detail for families with kids or groups traveling together. Some rooms also look out onto the pool while others overlook the street.

All rooms are well equipped with microwaves, Keurig coffee machines, and mini-fridges (great for stocking food overnight when getting an early morning start). Techie comforts are also on hand, such as flat-screen TVs with Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube, iPod docks, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and individual temperature controls. Ample closet space can store ski equipment, and irons with ironing boards. 

Bathrooms can be spa-like, with sliding glass doors, backlit mirrors, walk-in showers (a few rooms have tubs), Paul Mitchell toiletries, and hairdryers. Bathrobes are also on hand as a luxe extra. 

Jackson Hole is an outdoor lover’s paradise, and as such, SpringHill’s amenities are tailored to the area’s many activities. A free shuttle to the famous Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is available to guests who wish to shred some powder in the winter and hike come summer. (Guests can use the ski rack in the front of the hotel during the winter.) A year-round heated outdoor pool and hot tub, plus a fire pit on the patio, are prime places to unwind after a physically demanding day, and a well-equipped 24-hour fitness center with windows overlooking the pool area gives guests an indoor spot to break a sweat. 

Though there is no on-site restaurant, the hotel sits close to the Town Square, which is teeming with restaurants, bars, and shops. The property does serve a daily breakfast spread, which includes fruit, oatmeal, cold cuts, cheeses, and croissants, although the meal gets mixed reviews from guests. In the evening, the lobby bar is open to guests and visitors alike. Seasonal events, including live music and beer and wine tastings, also create a fun, apres-ski vibe. 

The Marriott has business services as well, including three conference rooms with plenty of space to accommodate meetings and events, plus free Wi-Fi. Other conveniences include coin-operated laundry facilities on-site and a concierge help desk. For those who are arriving via car, the property houses a temperature-controlled underground parking garage.
