With 22, two-floor buildings on a property landscaped with shrubs and trees, the Cliffs at Peace Canyon has a residential vibe. It looks and feels like a feels like a gated condo community, and is surrounded by enclosed complexes of residential houses; it blends into the area and is easy to miss when driving by. The lobby is in a building with tall windows, tile floors, and stone columns. Leather couches and a fireplace add a country club ambience to the space. The pool area is particularly lovely, with fountain features and tall palm trees. There’s a big, plus-sign-shaped whirlpool, and rows of lounge chairs for relaxing and taking in the Nevada sun. Stainless steel grills and tables with umbrellas make up a picnic area near the pool, and there’s also an outdoor fireplace to add warmth on cool nights.

The apartment-style units with kitchens and up to two bedrooms are well-suited to families, who make up much of the clientele -- though a healthy dose of couples come here, too. 

The hotel is located in a residential area within a 10-minute drive of Red Rock Canyon State Conservation Area, where rock formations and cliffs provide beautiful scenery for hiking trails. It’s about a 20-minute drive to the Strip, the three-and-a-half mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard packed with casinos. There are a few golf and country clubs within a 10-minute drive, and McCarran International Airport is less than a 20-minute drive away. 

The units at Cliffs at Peace Canyon are all contemporary and homey. Though decor varies slightly, guests can likely expect ceramic tile floors, slightly busy patterned couches, and glass dining tables. The earthy color scheme seems to be inspired by the desert, and accent walls are often in coral or brown. One- and two-bedroom units are available, and kitchens are equipped with granite countertops, ovens, dishwashers, refrigerators, microwaves, and coffee machines. Bedrooms typically have comforters with tasteful patterns, rather than duvets. Some units have been renovated more recently than others, and a few still have tube-style TVs. All units have washer/dryers, and some have balconies, patios, and gas fireplaces. 

Cliffs at Peace Canyon has a pretty outdoor pool with fountain features, palm trees, and rows of lounge chairs. There is also a big whirlpool and four outdoor grills nearby. The hotel imposes a mandatory resort fee to cover some of the amenities, including the fitness center with treadmills, stationary bikes, and resistance machines. There is also a billiards table. The hotel has free parking and a shuttle that takes guests to the Strip, Fremont Street, an outlet mall, and a grocery store.
