The dreary brown stone exterior of Warwick Reine Astrid – Lyon doesn’t reflect what lies within. Though room decor is a bit old-fashioned and homey, the lobby goes for a more modern look with cream-colored tiled floors, brown armchairs and couches, and colorful artwork on the walls. The restaurant's interiors are contemporary and minimalistic, with light-gray chairs, wooden tables, tan carpeting, and striped curtains over floor-to-ceiling windows. The bar is a bit more casual, with plush tan chairs and orange cushions. There's also a lovely outdoor terrace, with gray woven chairs and white tables shaded by umbrellas. The terrace looks out on a lovely garden with roses, trimmed hedges, and green trees and bushes. The hotel attracts both business travelers and because all of the rooms have kitchenettes, it's a good choice for extended-stay tourists, including families and groups.

Warwick Reine Astrid - Lyon enjoys close proximity to some places of interest. The Lyon Zoo is a 14-minute walk away, while there are plenty of restaurants and shops that take less than 10 minutes to reach on foot. It's about 25 minutes on foot to get to the Tres Gaules Amphitheater, or 35 minutes to reach the Place des Jacobins and the historic city center. The nearest metro stop is 11 minutes away on foot. Lyon-Bron Airport is a 22-minute drive away. 

The rooms at Warwick Reine Astrid - Lyon are decorated in a blend of homey and traditional (arguably dated) decor. Antique-style wooden furniture rests on traditional parquet floors or carpeting, and red-and-gold patterned curtains add to the classic look. Beds with thick white comforters are paired with abstract or homey framed artwork. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and kitchens with minibars, microwaves, stoves, dishwashers, and kettles. Higher-category suites add living rooms with couches. Bathrooms are spacious, with shower/tub combos, hairdryers, bidets, and Essential Elements toiletries. Executive Suite bathrooms feature shower/tub combos with jetted tubs. 

Warwick Reine Astrid - Lyon provides a decent array of amenities. The Lounge Restaurant and Bar serves French gourmet cuisine in a lovely space and also has a beautiful outdoor terrace with seating for the warmer months. Unfortunately, the restaurant only offers cold dishes and small snacks on the weekends, and room service is only available during the week (and has limited hours). Breakfast is available for a fee, but it's free for kids 12 and under. Other features include a small fitness room, with a couple of cardio machines, a weight machine, and free weights, plus a sauna and a steam bath that looks a bit worn. Five fully equipped meeting rooms are available, and Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. Parking is available for a fee, and pets are welcome for an additional fee.
