Royal Hideaway Playacar

Playa del Carmen - Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, Mexico

The elegant Royal Hideaway Playacar is a luxury property that's right on the beautiful white-sand beach in the chic Playacar development. It's just a short drive south of Playa del Carmen, but feels worlds away from the buzz there. With only 200 rooms, it feels more intimate than many of the area’s larger all-inclusive resorts, and there are six pools in total, leaving plenty of room to spread out. Royal Hideaway Playacar rooms are elegant, with jetted tubs and marble bathrooms — many have sea views. All-inclusive rates covers plenty, including meals and snacks at all of the resort's bars and restaurants, free round-the-clock room service, champagne at check-in, and a whole host of non-motorized water sports. Guests will only need to pay a little extra for perks such as tennis and golf lessons, spa treatments, or tours.

Grand Velas Los Cabos

San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico

Set on a beautiful stretch of beach between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, Grand Velas Los Cabos all-inclusive is one of the most luxurious resorts in the region. You'll find gorgeous, contemporary suites equipped with big soaking tubs and welcome bottles of mezcal, plus beautiful facilities, including a spa with a huge hydrotherapy circuit and a fitness center with personal trainers. The all-inclusive rates include access to a variety of buffet and a la carte restaurants, some with extensive wine lists (and all tricked out in impeccable, sumptuous decor), plus free premium liquor. Unlike many all-inclusive resorts in Los Cabos, children are allowed, and there are great kids' and teens' clubs with toys and video games.

Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun

Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico

Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun remains one of the most popular all-inclusives in all of Mexico — and with good reason. This chic property is meticulously designed —  stylish rooms featuring whirlpool tubs while sleek, minimalistic common areas and grounds are peppered with contemporary art (and stunning sea views). The attention to detail found throughout the resort extends to its culinary offerings, with everything from free poolside popsicles to excellent dining options. Highlights include a steakhouse, Italian and Asian a la carte dinner spots, and a French-fusion fine-dining option, Lumiere. However, the all-inclusive offerings here go beyond just food and drinks, with perks such as free access to the spa's hydrotherapy circuit as well as its steam and sauna facilities.

Excellence Playa Mujeres

Playa Mujeres Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico

Luxury and romance take center stage at the adults-only Excellence Playa Mujeres. Its location in Playa Mujeres, away from Cancun's Hotel Zone, keeps the ambience quiet and relaxed, while the elegant rooms with whirlpool tubs and two-person showers are ideal for couples looking for romance. The spa is also a treat, with special couples' suites and a hydrotherapy circuit, and there are seven pools for swimming and cooling down. Dining options excel as well, with nine restaurants and 11 bars (plus premium alcohol), all covered by the all-inclusive rate. Unlike most all-inclusive resorts, reservations aren’t required for any of them, which can be a welcome relief for those who prefer to keep scheduling to a minimum while on vacation.

Grand Velas Riviera Maya

Hotel Xcaret Mexico feels more like a theme park than a resort (and a stay here includes admission to several area parks run by the same company — a perk that's hard to match). The Xcaret all-inclusive package also covers visits to area cenotes and even to the celebrated Mayan site of Chichen Itza. With all of that activity, you may wonder why guests would bother staying on-site. However, you'd be wrong. Hotel Xcaret caters to adults and kids equally well, with an elegant spa and numerous pools, including one with waterslides.
