The space lacks cohesiveness and looks a bit dated, and ultimately isn’t the most inviting common area though it's still bearable. The exterior of the building is nothing to write home about either. It generally seems that guests who are staying here didn’t book the hotel for its amenities or modern decor, but rather for its proximity to the rest of Milan. The venue’s most suitable for business travelers and those in the city for only a few days.

The ADI Doria is in an ideal location for guests looking to be near public transportation options, as the property is a short walking distance from Milan Central, the city’s largest train station, and three metro lines. Linate Airport is only about a 15-minute drive southeast from the hotel, which also offers a shuttle for a small fee. The surrounding area is not all that spectacular, and most attractions in Milan are just a metro stop away.

The ADI Doria’s 124 rooms mirror the style of the common spaces, with upholstered walls, shiny dark wood furniture, and marble tabletops and bathrooms. There aren’t any notable features that set these units apart from other hotel rooms besides how quiet they are. All units are soundproofed; the fabric on the walls probably contribute to their effectiveness. Free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs are also on hand. The rooms lack electrical outlets and the hotel has guests turn in their room keys whenever leaving. The beds are firm -- some may say too firm based on personal preference -- but the bathrooms are covered in marble and are bright and spacious. There's also a special Jazz Junior Suite with art and photography paying tribute to icons like Josephine Baker and Charles Mingus.

The hotel offers a free breakfast to guests every morning, which is comprised of all the basic continental breakfast fare like hard-boiled eggs, pastries, coffee, and other simple foods.
