Situated in a former bank building, the 91-room Hotel Banke is an elegant luxury property conveniently located in the heart of Paris' Opera District, close to several attractions and well serviced by public transportation. And some have antique furnishings, terraces, and washing machines. A few of the apartments on the high floors even have Eiffel Tower views. But the terri-cotta floors and some of the old-fashioned furniture are less delightful. A better option could be the Hotel Lutetia, which has equally excellent views plus restaurants, a bar, spa, and even a cigar lounge.
