Park Lane Suites & Inn is housed in two buildings. The suites are in a more modern building and the rooms are in a two-story motel. The atmosphere here is laid-back and relaxed, which isn’t a surprise granting that it’s a budget-friendly spot that attracts couples and families looking for extended stay suites or simple rooms for a straightforward night of rest. As a no-frills property, there are no public spaces beyond the lobby. It’s a homey and dated area with carpeted floors and a handful of tables and cozy armchairs placed near a bookshelf set with newspapers and hardcover books. Cookies, fruit, and coffee are on offer in the lobby to create a welcoming vibe. 

This property doesn’t have a great location per say, but rather one that allows for budget prices and still ease of access to popular neighborhoods. Nearby, is the Portland Japanese Garden -- a six-minute walk away. Providence Park, the location of Portland’s pro soccer team, is an eight-minute walk. It’s just a five-minute walk to dining options and grocery stores, convenient for travelers staying in the self-sufficient suites. It’s a two-minute walk to the bus stop and seven minutes to a tram stop. Downtown Portland is a seven-minute drive away. Old Town Chinatown takes nine minutes to reach by car. It’s a 26-minute drive to Portland International Airport.

Park Lane Suites & Inn offers two types of accommodations: rooms or suites. The rooms are modern with a minimalist design of bamboo flooring, black furniture, white beds, and black and white square-printed bed runners with a lime green edge. There are small IKEA-like tables and chairs available in the rooms, as well as air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. Rooms lack the mini-fridges and microwaves most often available in budget hotels. 

Long-term guests or those with large groups might want to consider booking a suite. They’re spacious with a homey decor in tones of brown and cream, carpeted floors, and brown wooden furniture. All suites are outfitted with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, living rooms, and kitchenettes with two-burner stoves, refrigerators, coffeemakers, sinks, toasters, dishwashers, platter ware, and cook ware. White bathrooms are clean, but offer little counter space. They’re equipped with toiletries, showers or shower/tub combos, and hairdryers. 

Reports of bothersome noise from thin walls have been made.

There’s not much in the way of features at the Park Lane Suites & Inn. The hotel provides small snacks like cookies or fruit and coffee in the lobby each day. There’s a public computer and a small book exchange in the lobby as well. A coin-operated laundry room is available for extended-stay guests. Both Wi-Fi and parking are free. The hotel doesn’t offer a breakfast, a gym, or dining options.
