Loi Suites is one of the top hotels in Puerto Iguazu, and it's clear to see why. It has a high-quality, warm finish throughout, with hardwood floors, solid antique furniture, exposed stone walls and stylish accessories -- from colorful velvet cushions to glossy ornaments. Soothing water features greet guests in the entrance and lobby, and wooden walkways suspended in the treetops connect buildings around the natural grounds. Poolside Tiki Bar has a fresh, laid-back feel, with light rattan seating and an open-plan layout, while the elevated position of the more elegant buffet restaurant grants superb views over the pools and through the lush trees. The hotel has the sense of being immersed in the jungle and draws a mix of couples and families.

Loi Suites Iguazu is located in a quiet spot in a bend of the Iguazu River, with Brazil just across the water. It's a 10-minute drive into the center of Puerto Iguazu for shopping and dining, and for attractions like Jardin de los Picaflores -- the Hummingbird Garden. The Three Frontiers viewing point is a 20-minute drive from the hotel, with views over the three adjoining countries, and it's about 25 minutes to Iguazu National Park for the spectacular falls. The bus station in town, a 10-minute drive, also runs routes to the National Park, plus to the two international airports nearby -- Cataratas in Argentina, and Foz de Iguacu in Brazil. Both journeys are around 30 minutes. 

Rooms have a classy look, with hardwood floors and furniture creating a simple, masculine style, with minimal decorative touches or artwork. Instead, the jungle backdrop is the star here, and the large windows and balconies (except for Junior Studios) maximize the sense of being immersed in nature. Rooms all have air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, desks, minibars, safes, and Wi-Fi, with the larger Suites and Villas adding robes and slippers, plus jetted tubs on their balconies. Villas are in a separate secluded area of the resort -- they add four-poster beds and electric kettles, plus views over the river. Bathrooms all feature separate tubs and rainfall showers, hairdryers, and toiletries. Those in Junior Studios and Superior Rooms have a window with a blind onto the bedroom, while the larger configurations have a more open-plan layout.

Loi Suites has a collection of heated outdoor pools nestled together amid its leafy grounds, and several decked areas that are set with loungers and table seating. The poolside cafe serves light meals and drinks throughout the day. Upstairs, the main restaurant has balcony seating overlooking the pool and grounds, and offers a buffet breakfast -- which is included in room rates. Breakfast offerings can be a bit limited, and the evening buffet includes both local and international options. Reviews from previous guests are mixed. Namasthe Spa features a whirlpool, sauna, steam room, relaxation areas, and a range of treatments, and there's a small fitness center with a collection of cardio and weight machines plus free weights. A game room includes ping-pong, foosball, PS3 and kids' play area, and there are two internet stations in the lobby. The front desk offers laundry and dry-cleaning services for an extra fee. Wi-Fi is free throughout. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't provided any sort of shuttle service into town or to the falls, meaning you'll need to pay for taxis to get anywhere.
