The Amalfi Hotel is housed in a short pink and beige structure on a street filled with similar-looking buildings. The charming lobby is decorated in a traditional and elegant manner, with tile floors, dark wood paneled walls, gold-framed artwork, and green upholstered couches. The space is bright and airy. There'a also a flatscreen TV and reading materials for relaxing. The wood-paneled front desk is staffed 24-hours a day.

The hotel is centrally located in the Esquilino neighborhood, in an area with lots of bars, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and shops. It's right by the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, and many of Rome’s most famous sites are within walking distance. The Coliseum, Roman Forum, and the Diocletian Bath are all 15 minutes away. Public transportation is easily accessible from the hotel with plenty of subway stations nearby. The Termini Station, one of the largest stations in Europe, takes 10 minutes to reach by foot. 

The Amalfi has 22 rooms in Single, Double, and Triple configurations. Triple rooms are ideal for families with children and have either a queen and a single bed or three singles. Modern amenities include flatscreen TVs, safes, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. All rooms are decorated in dated, simple green or blue with wood paneling, and the carpet often clashes with the bedspread. Some rooms don’t have carpeting for people who have allergies. Bathrooms have shower/tub combos, bidets, and heated towel racks. Most rooms overlook the picturesque Italian street, but some have an internal view of a neighboring building's facade. 

A traditional Italian continental breakfast is served for free in a room right off the lobby. Breads and pastries dominate the spread, and espresso and cappuccino is served. Gluten-free items are available by request. There aren't any dining options for lunch or dinner at the hotel. Dry cleaning and laundry facilities are offered for a fee. Guests who have a car can park for free at the partner garage. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
