This simple hotel appeals to couples with its clean, comfortable spaces and lovely atmosphere at a budget-friendly rate. The whitewashed building has typical Mediterranean-blue trim, while the grounds are thick with vegetation, a pool, and trellises overflowing with bougainvillea. Together it creates a charming and peaceful atmosphere. Inside, the quaint lobby and small breakfast area are the only common spaces. Guests find the English owner to be helpful and kind, with spot-on advice about the area. The surrounding area is quiet and guests enjoy the laid-back, friendly town with easy access to the nearby city.  

The hotel is located on a small street, just off the main road through Karterados. A seven-minute walk brings guests to an area with several restaurants, a supermarket, a bakery, and a laundromat. It is a 20-minute walk, or a seven-minute drive into the bustling town of Fira, with an abundance of shops and restaurants. The town is extremely popular for its breathtaking views of the caldera, and is worth a visit to catch a sunset overlooking the volcano. From the hotel, it is a seven-minute drive to Monolithos Beach, a black-sand beach with some shallow areas for kids. The nearest bus stop is a six-minute walk from the hotel. It is a nine-minute drive to Santorini Airport, and an 18-minute drive to the port. The hotel conveniently offers free transport from the airport or port.

The 25 rooms are modest and clean with limited extras. Decor varies, but typically walls are white and minimally adorned, and floors are wood or tile. Wood furniture is basic and includes beds -- doubles or as many as four twins, depending on room -- nightstands, and small desks. Studios include simple kitchenettes and futons on the first floors, and beds in lofts. Decorative touches are usually in the form of doilies, flowers, and bowls of potpourri. All rooms include a mini-fridge and safe, and some rooms have air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and balcony. Bathrooms are also basic with a curtained shower or occasionally a shower/tub combo and free soap. 

A small pool is tucked away in a secluded courtyard, surrounded by blue-and-white-striped lounge chairs. It is nestled between the hotel building and a thick wall of trees, creating a peaceful retreat. A continental breakfast is served on a charming garden terrace, lush with shading trees and sprays of flowers. Guests find it an enjoyable meal, particularly the fresh foods from the owners’ garden, though there is a fee. There is also a small indoor breakfast space with less charm and more clutter, but it is serviceable for days with poor weather. Wi-Fi is free throughout the building, though the connection can be weak.
