The Best Western Central Inn is motel style, with a long two-story building with balconies running along the second floor and room doors that open to the outside. Guests staying on the ground floor can park right in front of their doors. The lobby is filled with windows, creating a light-filled space, but otherwise the decor is bland and dated. Brown-leather sofas are arranged in a cluster bordered by a black-and-white carpet with geometric shapes, but there are few decorative accents to liven up the space. The hotel draws mainly leisure travelers, especially couples and families. 

The Best Western Central Inn is located outside Savannah city center on a traffic-heavy street. Other hotels, restaurants, and bars are within walking distance. The city's tourist attractions, however, are farther away, and the historic district is a 12-minute drive from here. Popular city trolley tours stop in front of the hotel.

Clean and well-maintained, the 129 rooms at Best Western Central Inn Savannah are spacious and not overly cluttered with too much furniture. But the low ceilings create an impression of being boxed in, and the color scheme is quite dark, with brown being the dominant color. Brown bed runners, curtains, upholstery, and carpeting create a dark atmosphere. An accent wall painted in a cheerful peach color brightens the space somewhat. Rooms are available with two double beds or one king-size bed. Amenities in all rooms include mini-fridges, microwave ovens, coffeemakers, and flat-screen TVs. They also have free Wi-Fi. Other small extras include irons and ironing boards, and hairdryers. Unlike the rooms, the white-tiled bathrooms are cramped, with shower/tub combos; sinks are located right outside the bathrooms.

The noise from the nearby Army air field can be a nuisance during the day with the sound of low-flying aircraft, and traffic noise can be heard from the street-facing rooms.

As a budget hotel, there are few fancy extras at the Best Western Central Inn, aside from the free breakfast.
