Samui Buri Beach Resort promises two things: Tranquility and traditional Royal Thai style mixed with some stylish modern decor. Many of the area's beachfront hotels leave guests complaining about nighttime noise, but this property is situated on a quiet stretch of beach, allowing for guests to enjoy their surroundings and relax in peace. The open-air concept of public areas creates a feeling of flow that adds to the laid-back vibe. Details such as roof spires and teak wood accentuate the traditional Royal Thai style, while chic and contemporary decor such as rattan furniture and a tree-stump divider wall keep the hotel feeling fresh. 

Samui Buri Beach Resort's location offers guests the best of both worlds. It has a peaceful and scenic location on Mae Nam Beach andit's within easy walking distance of shops, bars, and restaurants. Some popular nearby options include Da Bardo Restaurant (seven-minute walk), John's Garden Restaurant and Bar (five-minute walk), and Cocorico (five-minute walk). For guests who want to stock up on snacks and drinks while on the go, there's a 7-Eleven just a five-minute walk from the hotel. Popular tourist attractions such as the night market (24-minute drive), Big Buddha (26-minute drive), Chaweng Beach (32-minute drive), and Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks (41-minute drive) are accessible by car. 

Guest rooms at Samui Buri Beach Resort are spacious and all have furnished terraces. Two of the four room categories also come with private plunge pools. The 86 rooms all exude traditional Thai style, however, some guests will find the decor more tired than charming and authentic. Rooms are adorned in teak wood throughout -- the floors, furniture, and half-paneled walls, while white ceilings and bedding add some contrast. Beds are topped with earth-toned bed runners and throw pillows, and some rooms have wall art for some added color.

All guest rooms are equipped with modern amenities that include free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, a flat-screen TV, safe, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and a minibar. Features such as the plush bathrobe, slippers, free bottled water, and beach bag are quality are quality perks. Bathrooms are spacious and attractive, outfitted with a jetted bathtub and separate walk-in shower, dual stone vessel sinks, a hairdryer, and free bath products. Note that some rooms are showing a bit of wear and past guests have complained of air-conditioning units being noisy.

Certainly the most noteworthy features here is the direct access to the gorgeous sandy beach lined with loungers and umbrellas. It's worth noting that stray dogs frequent the beach, which could be uncomfortable for some guests. Another highlight at Samui Buri Beach Resort is the large infinity-edge outdoor pool with views of the ocean, a swim-up bar, and hot tub. It also has a sectioned off shallow area for kids. Though a full spa isn't available, there's a beachfront spa beneath a wooden pergola and offering a selection of massage and body treatments. A small but bright gym has cardio and weight-training equipment, plus there are a tennis court, kids' club, and babysitting services. The restaurant, Seetawaree, receives mostly positive reviews, and is open for all three meals. Wi-Fi is free.
