Bottom Line
Casa Tia Micha is a small and historic three-pearl boutique hotel in central Valladolid. It's within walking distance to several dining and shopping options, as well as a few of the city's main attractions. The five guest rooms with colonial-style decor are charming and amenities include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and free Wi-Fi. There are few features offered here. The main highlight is the free traditional Mexican breakfast that's served each morning. Guests can make use of the sister hotel's (Hotel Casa Marlene) swimming pool and hot tub, located just a few doors down the road. Travelers can also consider the nearby El Meson del Marques, for an outdoor swimming pool, a la carte restaurant, and bar.

Historic boutique hotel packed with character and charm
Housed in an historic colonial-style building, Casa Tia Micha is a charming boutique hotel packed with character. Guests enter through a carved wooden door off the street into a short corridor with vintage framed black- and-white family photographs, antique mirror, and old-fashioned desk on the one side and glassed wooden bookshelves (with Mexican books and trinkets on display) on the other side. The exterior of the hotel is typically Mexican with different brightly colored walls and doors. Expect bright yellow walls with blue doors and light pink walls with turquoise doors. The corridors are filled with plants that line the walkways and are secured on the walls. Mexican-themed decor can be found throughout the hotel, with collections of hand-made crosses and butterflies decorating the walls. The outdoor courtyard, where breakfast is served, is a lovely area which is again packed with potted plants (big and small) and large palm trees providing shade. Guests are mostly couples looking for a quiet and secluded space, with a few family-travelers passing through.
