A blocky brown-and-cream-colored exterior leads to the property's small lobby with yellow walls, light tile, and tan granite countertops. Black chairs provide seating, and the multiple windows bring in plenty of light, but overall the look is budget and no-frills. The hotel's best feature is the free-form pool and whirlpool surrounded by open-air hallways. Grounds are well landscaped with trees and shrubs -- two running fountains sit amid bricks and plants.

Americas Best Value Inn & Suites sits on a busy main street with Anaheim GardenWalk, the Anaheim Convention Center, restaurants, and convenience stores within a five-minute walk. Disneyland, Downtown Disney, and Disney California Adventure Park are within a 15-minute walk, and the Grove of Anaheim, the American Sports Center, Angel Stadium, and the Crystal Cathedral are within a five-minute drive. The Honda Center is within a 10-minute drive. John Wayne Airport is about a 15-minute drive.

Rooms range from Standard Rooms to Suites with up to four beds, and have small seating areas. Decor consists of green carpeting, red accent walls, and gold bedspreads. All rooms come with microwaves, mini-fridges, flat-screen TVs with premium HBO, and coffeemakers. Some rooms offer views of the Disneyland fireworks, and have big jetted tubs and wooden floors in lieu of carpeting. Guests complain about thin walls that let in exterior noise, worn and stained carpeting, and the overpowering smell of cleaning products. Beige-painted bathrooms have shower/tub combos (some have modern tile), hairdryers, and provide Americas Best Value Inn & Suites toiletries.

The free-form outdoor pool and hot tub occupy the center of the property, surrounded by two stories of rooms. A grab-and-go continental breakfast is included in the room rate, and includes pastries, coffee, fruit, and juice -- guests rate it so-so. There's free outdoor parking and free Wi-Fi throughout the property, but guests complain the signal is slow.
