Opened in 2010, the Radisson Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit occupies a seven-story, white and gray building with modern flair. Inside, decor feels a little more buttoned-up, with Radisson’s classy, if predictable, business vibe. The lobby has a traditional feel with marbled floors, a chandelier light, and classic furnishings, like tufted chesterfield-style sofas. The furniture's layout, lined around the edges of the room, feels far too distant to encouraging socializing or even lingering. But the bar, restaurant, and rooftop are far more suitable spots for lounging. In part due to the focus on Indian cuisine in the restaurants, the property is popular with Indian guests.  Those who stay here tend to be an even split of business and leisure travelers, including couples and families.

This Radisson is situated in the thick of the Lower Sukhumvit neighborhood, renowned for its nightlife, bars, restaurants, and clubs, many just a few minute’s walk from the hotel. Despite the bustling atmosphere nearby, Sukhumvit 13 is relatively quiet, though guests should note that it can flood during monsoon season. The main artery of Skhumvit Road is a seven-minute walk, lined with vendors and street food. Travelers should note that certain areas nearby, such as Soi Nana and Soi Cowboy, have somewhat seedy, red-light district vibes. The Terminal 21 shopping mall and the Nana BTS station are each about a 10-minute walk and the Sukhumvit MRT station is a 15-minute walk; the hotel offers free tuk-tuk service to all of these locations. It can take as little as 30 minutes to get to Suvarnabhumi International Airport by taxi, but the area’s notorious traffic can make the trip longer. Valet parking is free.

Spacious, contemporary guest rooms are one of the big draws of this Radisson. Their pleasant, chain-hotel decor features dark purple wall-to-wall carpeting, white walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and salmon-colored accent walls behind the beds. Even an entry-level Superior Room measures 344 square feet and features a sitting area with two chairs by the window, plus a big desk with an ergonomic chair. Spacious bathrooms pair black accents with off-white tiling and feature square sinks, long counters, and walk-in glass showers with rainfall shower heads. Upgraded rooms add separate bathtubs. 

Rooms are well outfitted with 42-inch LCD TVs, minibars, tea/coffee service, electronic safes, and free Wi-Fi. Outlets are thoughtfully positioned next to beds and work desks. Bathrooms are stocked with hairdryers, robes, and individual toiletries. A range of room sizes are offered; a step up in category offers more space and amenities. Some add kitchenettes, dining areas, and/or sofa beds. The largest One-Bedroom Premier Suite is over 850 square feet with a separate living room, bedroom, and work area, plus a six-person dining room and a kitchenette.

The hotel has everything guests expect from an upscale establishment, including two restaurants, a bar, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool and hot tub. A highlight is the classy Indian restaurant Punjabi Grill, which serves dinner until late, with live musical accompaniment some nights of the week. Guests can enjoy casual fare all day at Mauve, the hotel’s lobby restaurant that serves a mix of Thai and Western-casual items (like pizza and grilled dishes). A breakfast buffet is offered here, with a mix of Indian and Western options, and guests can book rooms with or without breakfast included. The lounge, asqu, serves as a cafe and bar, open from morning into the early evening, with light snacks on the menu.

The rooftop pool, like many in Thailand, is narrow and shallow, though the nearby hot tub is fairly roomy. Despite it’s rooftop positioning, there’s no real view. If not luxurious, the pool area is pleasant with a narrow deck lined with lounge chairs. Nearby, rooftop seating offers guests a chance to hangout. The tiny rooftop bar just has two stools at the bar proper, but guests can still order drinks from here in the evenings. The hotel gym, which has windows facing the pool area, features several modern cardio machines and weightlifting machines as well as workout accessories like a full rack of dumbbells and exercise balls. There’s no on-site spa, but massages can be arranged. 

Several of the features here also cater to the hotel's corporate travelers, including a sizable business center with computers, laptop rentals, and printing services. There are four meeting and event rooms, and Wi-Fi throughout is free. The hotel also offers dry cleaning, laundry service, free valet parking, and concierge services. 

The hotel offers free shuttle service (by tuk-tuk) to nearby hotspots, including the MRT and BTS stations. For those traveling with children the hotel has cribs, high chairs, and kids’ menus on hand, and babysitting can be arranged.
