Flowers hanging from the iron balcony rails of pastel buildings in hues of blue, turquoise, pink, and yellow give Bellos Hotel Apartments a charming, country feel. Walkways lead past small flower gardens and palm trees, and a grassy lawn gives guests a peaceful spot to relax in lounge chairs and take in the mountain views. There are two separate pool areas: One has two water slides and a bar area with a foosball and pool table. The other pool area is by the snack bar, where red barstools lend a retro feel to the space. 

Bellos Hotel Apartments is in a quiet area on a hill with a few other hotels nearby and a mini-market across the street. The village of Piskopiano is a short drive or 15-minute walk south. It’s also about a 15-minute walk to the resort area on Hersonissos beach, while Malia, a popular party area, can be reached within 15 minutes by car. Several historical attractions, including the Palace of Knossos and the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, are less than 40 minutes to the west. Heraklion International Airport, to the west as well, can be reached within half an hour by car. 

Bellos guest rooms, available as either studios or one-bedroom apartments, are clean with white walls and tile floors. Keep in mind that there’s minimal decor and no TVs. Still, all rooms are equipped with kitchenettes featuring mini-fridges, sinks, hot plates, and cookware, and some spaces have wooden dining tables. Apartments also have sofa beds in the living room. Units with furnished balconies and mountain views are available as well. Fees are imposed for using air-conditioning and in-room safes.

The hotel has two pool areas; one has water slides and both have children’s pools. A lawn with lounge chairs and umbrellas provides a spot for sunbathing. For outdoor recreation, guests have access to a tennis court, football field, and small playground with a slide and swings. A pool bar with a billiards and foosball table can also be found, as well as a snack bar. Evening entertainment includes dancing and karaoke, and the Bellos has an Internet corner.
