The bright-white Servatur Casablanca Hotel is set high in the hillside amongst the terraced resorts of Puerto Rico. Its facade is easy to spot at night, with rooms lit by colorful LEDs. Inside, decor is minimalistic modern, with clean lines, fresh white furniture, and bright orange accents. Playful design details, like the alphabet-shaped bookshelves in the lobby, provide balance for what could otherwise be stark decor. Outside, patios and sundecks are dotted with blue and orange loungers and cushioned wicker armchairs, giving guests ample opportunity to relax. Everything, indoors and out, is immaculately clean. Guests note that, unlike at other resort hotels, outdoor seating never seems to fill up and the lack of kids makes for a quiet, relaxing stay -- too quiet for some, just right for others. It's ideal for leisure travelers, especially couples, of varying ages, though the 165 stairs down to the commercial center can be an issue for guests with limited mobility.

It's a five- to 10-minute walk down stairs to the resort's commercial center (home to shops, nightlife, and restaurants) -- and it's a steep hike going back up, so some guests take a taxi. Guests can walk to the beach in 15 to 20 minutes. Amadores Beach is about a 10-minute drive, while the charming town of Mogán is a 20-minute drive. Gran Canaria Airport is about 35 minutes by car. 

Guests tend to be impressed with the chic and spacious accommodations at this all-suite hotel. All rooms have separate sitting areas, en-suite bathrooms, fully equipped kitchenettes, and roomy outdoor terraces with sitting areas, which face west to maximize access to the afternoon sun. Decor is simple but modern, in-tune with the rest of the hotel -- wood laminate floors pair with white walls and furniture, like white plastic molded chairs, while rich blue accents add color. 

In Junior Suites, two beds are pushed together, but guests rave about the luxurious memory-foam mattresses. Bathrooms are modern with glass walk-in showers, magnifying mirrors, hairdryers, and toiletries. Kitchenettes include sinks, hob burners, mini-fridges, microwaves, toasters, electric kettles, and kitchenware. Upgraded Superior Suites outnumber Junior Suites, and add bigger terraces with lounge chairs and jacuzzi tubs. Rooms also have safes, 32-inch flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, and free Wi-Fi. 

This hotel has a casual but stylish restaurant open for breakfast and dinner, a poolside bar serving light fare, lunch, and evening drinks, and a small market selling both food and alcohol for self-catering. Half-board options include a buffet breakfast with hot and cold items, served until late morning, and nightly sit-down dinners with live entertainment (singers, guitarists). Guests tend to like the food, but some note that the set menu means limited options.

The hotel has a nice but small swimming pool and jacuzzi surrounded by plenty of loungers, as well as a rooftop sundeck. Wellness facilities include a chic full-service spa offering a range of treatments plus a relaxation area, sauna, steam room, and small indoor spa pool -- though use of the spa facilities cost an extra fee. There's also a small but modern gym with cardio and weight-lifting equipment. 

The hotel has a 24-hour front desk and staff can assist arrange for tickets, laundry service, or airport transfers. Limited on-site parking is available for free and Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
