Located on top of a hill, Sofia Village has some lovely views of the Aegean Sea and neighboring islands. Exteriors are authentically Greek, with whitewashed walls, bright blue painted shutters, terra-cotta vases, and vine-laced wooden awnings. Inside, it's all a bit more humble. Modern and traditional elements are blended in the cozy lobby, with silver tables and chairs and original arched doorways leading to the lively outdoor pool area. The pool is lined with reclining blue padded sun loungers and wooden-slatted umbrellas, making it a popular spot for tanning. The poolside bar plays music throughout the day, creating a fun, party vibe. The hotel mostly attracts groups, couples, and solo travelers who are visiting Mykonos for the nightlife, making it unsuitable for families with young children and those looking for peace and quiet. 

Conveniently located in the Fine Arts School area of Mykonos, Sofia Village is just a 10-minute walk from the city center. Known for its lively nightlife, the town is home to plenty of bars, restaurants, and entertainment hotspots. It's also home to many historic attractions, such as the Aegean Maritime Museum, Paraportiani Church, and the Windmills of Mykonos. The steep hill is a big downside though, making the walk back from town potentially challenging, especially for those with mobility issues. There isn't much activity in the immediate area, though there are a few shops and supermarkets, as well as a restaurant serving an a la carte breakfast, nearby. Megali Ammos Beach is the closest beach to hotel, but will take 15 minutes to reach on foot. A bus stop is located just outside the hotel, which goes to many of the island's most popular beaches, including Megali Ammos. The airport and port are around a five-minute drive from the hotel. 

All 30 guest rooms are clean, comfortable and simply decorated, though style varies from room to room. Some have a slightly modern finish with contemporary photographs adorning the walls, though in general, things are looking a bit dated, with details like mustard yellow bedspreads, silk flowers, and '90s-era patterns. All rooms have seated balconies or terraces, offering lovely sea, pool, or garden views. They come with modern amenities like flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, safes, phones, and mini-fridges. Furniture is minimal, with double or single beds, wardrobes, dressers, and bedside tables, though some larger rooms have additional kitchenettes and separate living spaces. Bathrooms are small and vary in style too. Upgraded bathrooms have walk-in showers with modern fittings, while older bathrooms are undeniably tired. Sinks and mirrors are located in the main room as opposed to the bathroom in some rooms. Basic toiletries and hairdryers are provided. It's worth noting that poolside rooms can be noisy due to music from the bar, but the rest of the hotel is quiet.
