Bottom Line

The Turquoise Hotel is a mid-range all-inclusive located a 12-minute walk from the public beach, and within easy walking distance of restaurant and bars. A free shuttle will also take guests to Sea Horse Beach Club, where there are free loungers. The 133 rooms are plainly decorated, but they're spacious and air-conditioned, plus equipped with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and kettles. The large outdoor pool has an adjacent round kiddy pool, and the views here of the Babadag Mountains are excellent. The buffet restaurant and bars receive overwhelmingly positive reviews, even by vegetarians. A Turkish bath, spa, sports facilities, and entertainment are also offered, though it may be worth checking out the Suncity Hotel and Beach Club, which has more amenities and is closer to the beach.

Turquoise Hotel

Scene

Friendly, relaxed hotel with many repeat guests from Turkey and United Kingdom

Turquoise Hotel has blocks of two-storied buildings with attics, on a lovely gardened property with palm trees, plants, and lots of bougainvillea. There's ample places to lounge throughout, and the surrounding Babadag Mountains provide gorgeous views. The public spaces have a lovely, modern design, as seen in the lobby's velvet tufted sofa encircling a water fountain and the restaurant's wood-beam ceiling with red-brick detail. Unfortunately, the rooms pale in comparison, outfitted with plain furnishings and dated linens.

The hotel has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, owing to its moderate size and friendly staff. Lots of guests hail from Britain, as is common in Oludeniz, or are Turkish or European, and many are repeat customers. The large British clientele means a lot of the food is geared toward them, which may be a con for those expecting only Turkish cuisine.

Location

Superb location for shopping, dining at area restaurants, and going to the beach

The Turquoise Hotel is near shops, markets, bars, and restaurants in Oludeniz. It’s a 12-minute walk to the main beach, or the famous Blue Lagoon is a 15-minute walk away. The hotel will also shuttle guests to Sea Horse Beach Club, where they will have free entry, loungers, and umbrellas. There are taxis at the corner ready to take guests to nearby Hisaronu in 10 minutes or Fethiye in 25 minutes. Hisaronu is known for its nightlife, but it also offers souvenir shops, spas, and additional dining options. Fethiye provides a cultural fix, as it has a castle, amphitheater, museum, and ruins, plus it’s a lovely seaside town in its own right. Dalaman Airport takes a little more than an hour to reach by car.

Rooms

Spacious rooms with TVs, mini-fridges, kettles, and outdoor spaces

The 136-room Turquoise Hotel consists of 82 standard rooms, 36 family rooms, and 15 attic rooms. Rooms are spacious and outfitted with plain but contemporary furniture, neutral-tone linens, and beige tile floors. Family rooms are larger but don’t offer separate bedrooms, while the attic rooms have low ceilings in some places but offer more spacious balconies than the lower-level rooms. These also offer the best views of the sea. All rooms have air conditioners, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges with water, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and safes. Wi-fi is free but it tends to be hit or miss. Bathrooms are attractively done in marble, and equipped with showers, wall-mounted hairdryers, and a range of toiletries.

Features

Lovely pool with green space for lounging, great food selection, and quality spa services

Features at the Turquoise Hotel are excellent. The outdoor pool is large and next to it is a decent-sized children’s pool. Cushioned lounge chairs are distributed around the pool, as well as on a nearby lawn. The pool bar and snack bar provide drinks and the usual assortment of snacks, such as pizza, burgers, and fries. Sweets are served in the afternoon and most drinks (beer, wine, Raki, vodka, gin, soft drinks) are included in the all-inclusive package.

The restaurant gets positive reviews for quality and variety, particularly for an all-inclusive. The Terrace a la carte restaurant and lounge has gorgeous views of the mountains and pools. While food costs extra, beverages on the all-inclusive list do not.

A Turkish bath, sauna, and spa with a variety of treatments are available, as is a unisex hair salon. The small gym has strength-training equipment but lacks cardio machines. However, exercise programs take place in the pool, and the hotel has tennis, ping-pong, darts, bikes, and mini-golf to get guests moving. An animation team provides entertainment, and there is an amphitheater for events such as comedy night and Latin dancing.
