The interiors of the Relais Trevi 95 Hotel are far more modern and sleek than the 19th-century facade would lead you to believe. Refurbished in April 2015, this boutique property makes a good first impression with its small lobby with dark wooden floors, a small round white desk, and white couches along the walls for seating. Silver accents like a trendy clock behind the reception desk or mirrors along the walls create a stylish futuristic vibe. Though the hotel isn’t very large, there’s a small elevator in addition to marble stairs. 

Breakfast is served in a quaint room with parquet floors and white tables with high-backed white chairs. It can also be had in the lovely garden room with panoramic windows that bring in natural light. The garden room has outdoor furniture like chairs, tables, and couches, plus potted flowers and a flat-screen TV. It’s arguably the hotel’s best public space, which is not surprising since the only other common area is a rooftop terrace with umbrellas, loungers, and views of the city's rooftops. The hotel’s limited services and striking decor draw mostly couples who can be seen having breakfast in the morning and a drink in the evenings in the garden room. 

A solid location is one of the hotel’s strongest draws. It's situated just a two-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, and across the street from the Quirinale Presidential Palace. Many top attractions are easily reachable on foot. It’s a seven-minute walk to the Spanish Steps and 10 minutes to the Pantheon. Piazza Navona is a 15-minute walk, while the Colosseum is a 20-minute walk away. Restaurants and shopping abound on surrounding streets, and the popular shopping street of Via Condotti is only a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It might be easier to reach farther attractions like Vatican City by public transportation. A bus stop is a three-minute walk from the hotel, while the nearest metro station at Barberini is a six-minute walk away. Both Leonardo da Vinci International Airport and Ciampino Airport can be reached in about 35 minutes by car.

Rooms at this boutique hotel are modern and sleek -- a refreshing change from some competing hotels in the city, which favor historic or classical decor. The rooms were refurbished in April 2015 and are individually designed, with neutral hues accented by brights pops of a single color, wood-laminate flooring, and streamlined furniture that maximizes space. Rooms vary in size, which may not be ideal for all, and some rooms have round beds. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, kettles, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, safes, and affordable minibars (more so than most hotels). A few rooms have furnished balconies. Due to the hotel’s central and busy location, some rooms may succumb to bothersome outside noise. The trendy gray and white bathrooms vary in style as some have mosaic tiles and others feature black floral designs on sinks and toilets. All have vessel or deep-bowl sinks, toiletries in wall-mounted dispensers, hairdryers, and showers. Note that some rooms have glass showers in the bedroom rather than in the bathroom, which may not be private enough for all types of travelers. 

The hotel caters mostly to couples and as such, offers basic amenities and romantic spaces. Each morning, a free breakfast buffet with pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, and bacon is served in a small breakfast room and lovely garden room. The hotel also has a small bar that serves patrons in the garden room in the evenings. To catch some sun or a good view, guests can take advantage of a rooftop terrace with loungers and umbrellas. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. No on-site parking is available.
