Set off a busy stretch of the main Fira-Pyrgos road overlooking the Aegean Sea, the Majestic Hotel is a large, modern hotel with wide walkways lined with shrubs and flowers connecting an extensive complex of buildings. The lobby is airy and bright, with smart, contemporary furnishings and polished marble and wooden parquet floors -- there's little in the way of interior design touches that alludes to the island itself, though the overall impression is one of upscale luxury. The hotel is situated on the edge of island's capital of Fira, right off the main road to Pyrgos on the west coast of Santorini. Getting to Santorini involves a 45-minute flight from Athens, and it's then about five miles from the airport. Ferries are also available from surrounding islands and the port is six miles away.

Rooms are smart, minimal, and contemporary, decorated in cool tones with modern furnishings and tiled floors.
