Khaosan Baan Thai is small and homey guesthouse/hostel in a Thai home, complete with a white-picket fence. The rooms are housed in an old wooden building, and there's a common area, which offers plenty of table space, a TV, a shelfful of books, a tour desk, and two computer stations. It's where everyone hangs out, and where the free breakfast is served. The vibe is social, and the hostel is a good place to meet other travelers. There's a self-service refrigerator filled with cold beer and soft drinks, and several fans keep the temperature cool.
