Unlike the neon lights and bold colors at the Cosmo Hotel nearby, the Three Corners Hotel Art's design is more subdued and practical. The simple street-front entrance opens into a narrow lobby with a high ceiling that houses the reception desk and a self-serve cafe area with table seating. The white walls are studded with colorful diamonds and spheres that climb up past balconies on the second floor, giving the space a fun and modern look. There is wall art throughout the public spaces (hence the hotel's name), much of it with a fresh photographic style, like the backlit black and white wall-size scenes of Budapest behind the reception desk and in the lounge. Elsewhere in the hotel, decor is clean and unembellished, with basic sand-colored walls and gray-blonde wood floors. Common areas look fresh, as the hotel renovated the reception and breakfast room in 2015. 

Its location on a quiet side street in the heart of Pest makes the Three Corners Hotel Art feel simultaneously connected to the city and removed from the bustle. Many of the city's popular tourist attractions are a short walk away; the National Museum is a five-minute walk in one direction while the Vaci utca shopping avenue is five minutes in the other direction. The hotel sits at the corner of the narrow Kiraly Pal street and pedestrian-only Kepiro utca, both of which have a handful of small bars and restaurants on street level. It's a two-minute walk to the nearest metro station, Kalvin ter. 

Rooms are small, clean and simple. Most come with unadorned white walls, dated wall-to-wall carpeting, and a heavy dose of chestnut wood finishing on everything from the headboard to the small desk and nightstand to the moldings. The narrow floor-to-ceiling windows look out on the quiet street, with views of the other buildings that surround the hotel. Amenities include mini-fridges and mounted flat-screen TVs facing the double beds (which, like in many Budapest hotels, are two twin beds pushed together), but English-language channels are few and far between. Deluxe Rooms are a major step up in terms of style and trade in carpet for smooth wood floors, and wood finishing in a darker hue; fabric accents are bold pink and green. These rooms come with better toiletries as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. (For other guests, free tea and coffee is available in the hotel lounge.)

The bathrooms, while small, are clean and include a glass-enclosed shower with a detachable head that travelers say provides excellent water pressure. Two minutes from the main hotel building is the property's Two-Bedroom Apartment; the hotel also has rooms on-site called Comfort Apartments that include a separate seating area and a bathtub.  

The Three Corners Hotel Art is more of a practical base than a destination on its own. All its amenities are clean and in excellent condition, but they are available for convenience, not for luxury. The small gym contains four workout machines and a few hand weights, plus a TV mounted to the wall. Nearby, the Finnish sauna has a cool sandy tile floor and a separate toilet and shower in rooms nearby. The gallery room has a soothing cool gray color scheme and has an assortment of tables for group and individual seating. Coffee, tea and water is available throughout the day. Off the lobby, a large breakfast room serves a free daily morning buffet; no other meals are served on-site. Travelers looking for a more extensive spa or business center should consider the larger Hotel Erzsebet City Center. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
