A revolving glass door leads to the lobby of the Marivaux, a cinema-turned-hotel that's popular with business travelers and tourists alike. There’s a polished tiled floor and white walls, and huge dark-brown leather sofas sit opposite the dark-wood reception desk. The restaurant has a brown, cream, and orange color scheme with comfortable leather chairs and a display of photos from famous movie scenes. There are also sections with high-backed booths and a cozy, intimate, library-style area surrounded by bookcases. A circular bar with modern leather bar stools serves a wide range of drinks including a selection of Belgian beers. The breakfast room has a sleek, minimalist style with a frosted glass atrium-style ceiling, alternate pink and tannish-gray leather chairs, and dark-wood tables.

The Marivaux Hotel sits on Boulevard Adolphe Maxlaan, which is one of the main roads that runs through Brussels. It’s next to the Rue Neuve shopping district and the financial district is just a few minutes’ walk away, making the hotel popular with tourists and business visitors alike. There are plenty of restaurants within a short walk of the hotel, while the Grand Place, the city's main square, is just a 10-minute walk. The Rogier Metro Station is only a minute from the hotel on foot. The airport is a half-hour drive away while the Gare de Bruxelles-Midi -- the city's main train station, where guests can catch the Eurostar to London or the TGV (high-speed train) to Paris and Amsterdam -- is a 10-minute drive away. 

The Marivaux offers both Traditional and Modern Rooms. Modern Rooms typically have neutral color schemes with flashes of vibrant orange and feature contemporary, minimalist furniture and a sleek black-and-white bathrooms. Traditional Rooms have dark-orange carpets, floral wallpaper, and wooden furniture. All rooms hint at the building’s former incarnation as a cinema, and feature framed photos of movie stars on the walls. They are spacious and offer comfortable beds, 24-hour room service, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, minibars, coffee- and tea-making facilities, bathrobes, hairdryers, flat-screen TVs with digital cable, safes, and writing desks. Rooms at the front have pleasant street views but can get noisy at night; light sleepers may want to request a room at the back. 

The hotel's on-site brasserie, Meat Me, offers a menu of international cuisine, and the cocktails served at its circular bar get great reviews. Note that the bar and restaurant is closed on Sundays and public holidays. A continental breakfast featuring dishes from around the world and excellent coffee is available in a separate breakfast room, but costs extra.

The hotel's fitness center is small but modern, with a few cardio machines and weights. On-site valet parking is also available for a fee. There are also nine meeting rooms on-site -- each named after a famous movie actor or director -- as well as a large conference room that was once a cinema hall and still houses the original tiered, fold-down theater seats.
