Contemporary decor and pops of aquamarine furnishings fill the lobby at the Motel One Muenchen-Sendl. Tor, which has large windows that line the front, providing a lot of natural light. A stylish sitting area has blue modern chairs and slate stacked accent walls with a mounted flat-screen TV that plays video of a crackling fireplace or bubbling fish tank. Some furnishings, though, have noticeable wear and tear.

One Lounge -- in the lobby -- serves as a bar, breakfast cafe, and sitting area. Teal contemporary chairs standout against the wood floors and dark brown bar, which features gold light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. Brown leather chairs and a leather sectional sofa provide more seating options in a lounge space, near the breakfast nook, which has a teal accent wall. An outdoor wooden terrace is surrounded by walls covered in vines and provides stylish black patio furniture and white umbrellas. The overall atmosphere is peaceful and relaxed.

The hotel’s best feature is its central location. Munich’s cultural sites, landmarks, shopping, museums, restaurants, bars, and entertainment are all within walking distance. The Sendlinger Tor subway station is a three-minute walk from the hotel. The town center Marienplatz, the New Town Hall, and St. Peter's Church are all reachable on foot in 11 minutes. The Church of Saint Johann Nepomuk is a four-minute walk. Two minutes away on foot is the Filmtheater Sendlinger Tor. The Munich Residence is a six-minute subway ride. Oktoberfest München is 15 minutes on the subway. The airport is 34 minutes away by car.

Rooms are modern with dark furniture, brown carpeting, and aquamarine accents. Space is limited in rooms, especially the tiny Standard Rooms. Features include free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and queen beds or double beds. Tea/coffee machines, minibars, phones, and safes are not provided -- a sacrifice in exchange for the hotel’s value prices. Large windows provide a lot of natural light. Some windows open inward and have railings. Others have narrow rooftop terraces and teal lounge chairs. Views are of the city, the park, or another building. Bathrooms are clean and modern with showers and separate toilet rooms (in some).

The hotel offers a small lawn in the center, near the terrace. Blue lounge chairs are furnished on the lawn, which is surrounded by a wall covered in vines, planters, and some trees. Near the lobby there is a small counter that offers two PC computers and two barstools. Parking is also available outside on a narrow street or in a secured underground parking lot located on-site.

The lobby is home to a sleek lounge where breakfast is served in the morning and cocktails in the evening.
