Housed in a modern stucco building with dark red accents, the hotel facade is somewhat bland. The lobby living room has a trompe-l’oeil wallpaper with volumes of books painted on it that contrasts in a fun way with bright red leather easy chairs and a couple of turquoise footrests. The front desk has chrome and wood touches and curved lines with a slight hint of Art Deco architecture. Otherwise the grounds are simple and clean, and a pleasant concrete patio and garden in the back of the hotel provides a shaded place to sit and dine at the Italian restaurant on the first floor.

Set on a quiet corner in a fairly busy neighborhood, the hotel is built amidst coffee shops, fast food eateries, and restaurants. Conveniently, the hotel is just a few blocks from Hauptbahnhof, the main railway station in Munich. For guests hoping to take in the Munich atmosphere on foot, the hotel is a 20-minute walk from Marienplatz and 10-minute walk from Karlsplatz square. The airport is an hour commute on public transportation (no transfers necessary), from a train station that is about six blocks from the hotel.

Rooms here are generally clean, though tend to be on the small side. Light laminate wood floor, white walls and bedspreads, and the occasional colored throw keep these rooms feeling bright and modern. All rooms have stocked minibars, LED flat-screen TVs, and toiletry dispensers in the tiny bathrooms. Bathrooms are also clean and bright, with white tile and walls, light laminate wood floors, and stall showers. Some rooms have balconies, and bathrobes and slippers. Rooms on the interior courtyard are sometimes quieter and may be preferable to those facing the street, particularly when air-conditioning units malfunction and opening windows becomes desirable. 

The hotel has a small, wood-floored fitness center with a handful of exercise machines and an adjacent dry sauna. There is an Italian restaurant on the main floor that receives a good number of positive comments and opens up onto a patio garden behind the restaurant. The meeting room on the premises has projection capabilities, and there is a tiny business center with a single computer and printer for guest use. Wi-Fi is free -- though only up to a certain capacity depending on the room. Room service is available, and the extensive buffet breakfast is available for a fee.
